Thank you for writing for me! I'm scioscribe on AO3 and Tumblr. I always love the chance to get some stories focused on character relationships (and also come up with overwrought chocolate comparisons for the results).

The lengths of these prompts sometimes vary because of the ideas I came up with, whether or not those ideas could be neatly expressed as tropes, whether I was talking about just one relationship in that prompt section or a combination of them, etc., but trust me, I love all these possibilities and would be unbelievably happy with any of them. Thank you again!

All requests this year are for fic.

House of Mirth - Edith Wharton

Lily Bart/Carry Fisher

+ There’s a nouveau riche family wealthy enough and desperate enough to "hire" both Lily and Carry to oversee their transition into high society, so the two wind up in close quarters, interacting and making plans. Hotel sex, commiseration, chemistry sparking off the knowledge of how to manipulate the people around them, frustrations overspilling into quickies…

+ Lily senses Carry wants a more sedate life and more time with her daughter. What about a little domestic interlude, a rare point when neither one of them has to strive, but where Carry is still decidedly more content? Interestingly, I can’t picture Lily actually being happy with that in the long run, so what kind of conflicts would that cause for them?

+ Any inside look at Carry crushing on Lily and coming to see the real, vastly imperfect person beneath the smooth facade.

+ A country house seduction during Lily’s glory days, when Carry in all her divorcee scandal seems like she exists in an entirely different world? Maybe Carry seizes upon Lily as someone she can use for her own stability--particularly if Lily marries Percy Gryce and becomes an unhappy bride?

Lily Bart/Simon Rosedale

+ I was so desperate for these two to have a marriage of convenience. Maybe it’s because the last-minute cruise invitation doesn’t come through, and Lily accepts in misery; maybe it’s an AU springing off her actually returning the letters and rising back into society again, so she’s actually happy to have the match made and her future settled. Or anything else.

+ Within any of those universe--power couple and slow burn feelings. (Obviously with a 300-word minimum, I’m totally happy with just a sliver of a slow burn, just one marker in the road of their developing feelings.) Give me Lily being reluctantly impressed by Rosedale in some way and starting to think he actually is her best option. Give me complicated, messy relationships where Rosedale’s admiration for Lily gets pricklier once they’re in close quarters. Lily’s prejudice gradually fading. Domestic compromises. Party hosting. Luxury porn, always in the best of taste.

+ Porn. Is the sex tender? Hot--and maybe the hotness makes Lily a little uncomfortable, because she didn’t want to like it? Incredibly awkward and unsatisfying? An evolution between the three? Lazy and agreeable?

The Stand - Stephen King

Fandom-specific DNW: brain-dead or irreparably catatonic Nadine.

Nadine Cross/Dayna Jurgens

+ I love all the potential for darkness, redemption, and lightning-like chemistry that these two have. And all the inherent AU possibilities! If Nadine and Dayna had started a relationship in Boulder, would that have given Nadine the tools she needed to resist Flagg? And what would have happened then? Would he have tried to intervene? Or would Flagg have potentially made the huge mistake of trying to use Nadine to corrupt Dayna--does he send her over to Dayna’s to have a lot of sex that he doesn’t think "counts," only to have the situation get out of his control? (I’d rather Dayna not be swayed to Flagg’s side, but I’m fine with a darker Nadine, and a creepy relationship where Nadine is lying to her the whole time out of fear and self-preservation, and things aren’t resolved nicely.)

+ Or what if Nadine had gone to Vegas from the beginning and Dayna had only met her once she started her undercover assignment? But she’s intrigued by--attracted to, repulsed by, terrified for, empathetic towards, your choice--Flagg’s "wife," who isn’t what she expected. I’d love to see them circling around each other, with Dayna maybe cautiously trying to turn her, with Nadine maybe deducing her identity and trying to decide what to do about it, with the two of them lusting or loving under Flagg’s nose and being both excited and sickened by the risk they’re taking?

+ Nadine and Dayna meet on the road to Boulder--or Vegas, potentially, if Nadine’s still undecided--and slowly bond while traveling. Tent-sharing, dealing with the apocalypse, etc. (I’m also good with Nadine/Dayna/Larry in this context.)

+ Anything with Nadine seducing Dayna in order to try to lose her virginity and so protect herself from Flagg. I just love this premise, whether the plan ultimately works or not.

Nadine Cross/Lloyd Henreid

+ All the possibilities for loyalty kink here, both dark and more optimistic. I just love taking Lloyd’s character-defining loyalty to Flagg and edging it over towards Nadine instead. Does he fall in a kind of courtly love with her where he has zero expectations of her ever feeling the same way but gets off on serving her as his queen? How does he relate to her as Flagg’s chosen bride? Does he ever feel protective of her? What happens if he sees her in a vulnerable moment and tries to awkwardly make her feel better? What does she think of him, and does her opinion about him always stay the same?

+ Extremely fucked-up scenarios where Lloyd gets used as a sexual intermediary so Flagg can get off without frying Nadine’s brain. (I’m assuming here that Flagg can have non-sanity-destroying sex in general, just not with Nadine, because of his need to claim her as his bride/impregnate her.) So Flagg cheerfully announces that he wants Nadine to have all the best things, including orgasms, but under his conditions, obviously--which means sex with Lloyd under Flagg’s own direct and very talky supervision. Or Flagg is getting impatient and Nadine is getting worried about it, so she staves him off by ensuring that he’s getting sex via Lloyd, and she’s the one in the corner watching--and maybe getting off on it despite being horrified at herself for it. Just fraught nonconned-via-Flagg situations where Lloyd at least is pining for Nadine and Nadine’s feelings are just mess in general. If she manipulates Lloyd into sleeping with Flagg for her, does she feel guilty about it? If Flagg gets the two of them sleeping together instead, does she try to leverage Lloyd’s growing crush on her into some kind of rebellion?

+ Happier AU where Nadine, not Flagg, winds up getting Lloyd out of prison, maybe thinking he can protect her from Flagg, and he follows her around like a slightly murderous puppy. Maybe they wind up in Boulder, neither of them entirely fitting in, or they choose some kind of third option and try to avoid Flagg by hiding out somewhere else?

+ Additional porny stuff I particularly like for this ship: all the femdom, cunnilingus, Lloyd having to forego orgasms, handcuffs, pegging, Lloyd not actually being that good in bed (at least at first).

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Bruce Banner & Valkyrie & Heimdall & Loki & Thor

[All of these prompts are going to assume Infinity War never happened, for reasons of convenience.]

+ Any and all Revengers adventuring. I like to think of the journey to Earth as being long and full of pit stops. I love weird domesticity and practical arrangements, so I would 100% be into a story that’s just the five of them negotiating for fuel and food and working out the logistics of transporting Asgard’s population. Trade deals? The five of them having to act as roving heroes in exchange for goods and services? The headaches of committee meetings?

+ Dynamics-wise, I love how many tensions--quiet and otherwise--exist in this group. Bruce, even de-Hulked, doesn’t really want to be there and is constantly running into culture clashes; Valkyrie is still dealing with her drinking and her millennia of dissipated independence; Thor’s learning how to rule; Heimdall’s adjusting to a completely different role; Loki is Loki, neither particularly trusted by all of them nor particularly sure he should be trusted. So awkward, gradual bonding is also great, in any and all combinations. (And I do have a soft spot for intense, not-always-entirely-admitted Thor & Loki loyalty.)

+ The royal court of Asgard! What are the early days of Thor’s reign like? They’ve all just found out that Asgard had a bloody history, but they’ve also just lost their planet, so all the old ways are simultaneously tainted and cherished--what are they holding onto as far as rituals and traditions? Does Thor have a formal coronation? I love loyalty kink, so I’m also here for people swearing fealty, formally or not, and Thor feeling loyal back.

+ They decide to settle somewhere other than Earth, or are unable to settle on Earth for handwavey practical reasons. How does Bruce react to being stuck on an alien planet and maybe having to resign himself to never going home? How does he start to fit in? How does Asgard’s society start to rebuild itself? Are they on a planet that’s already inhabited, and if so, how do they work around that to avoid repeating the mistakes of Asgard’s colonial past? (Or are they in danger, as refugees, of being taken advantage of themselves?) Or are they settling a wilderness that may or may not be particularly temperate?

+ I’m also always happy to see hurt/comfort, loyalty kink, banter, prickly friendships, food, sleeping arrangements, etc. I’m fine with ships being worked into this, if you like: I ship Thor/Heimdall, Thor/Valkyrie, Thor/Bruce, Thor/Valkyrie/Bruce, Loki/Heimdall, Loki/Valkyrie, Loki/Bruce, Val/Heimdall, and Val/Heimdall/Thor.

Gamora/Loki/Nebula

+ Dark, gritty, clinging-to-each-other and using-each-other pre-Avengers scenario? They’re all stuck with Thanos and finding tentative comfort and stress release with each other while maybe bonding more than they intend to. Maybe Loki initially thinks he can use them or betray them for a better position, but then starts having feelings? Maybe they’re all able to escape together? What’s it like for Gamora and Nebula to suddenly deal with this newcomer?

+ AU where Loki is stuck with Thanos and his children for much longer. More angst and body modifications for everyone! Loki also getting folded into the incestuous tangle where he thinks of them as his sisters and they think of him as a brother even while they’re all fucking? I just really love people holding onto each other in very bleak, painful situations, inching their way towards being vulnerable to each other even when they don’t want to be and even when it might get them killed.

+ What if all three of them had escaped to Asgard together around the time of Ragnarok? They’re all codependent and inseparable, Loki hasn’t seen his brother for years and has been an assassin the whole time, Gamora and Nebula are suspicious of Asgard’s pageantry and then deeply uncomfortable being in the claustrophobic post-Ragnarok Asgard-in-exile. Anything.

+ I’d love to see the three of them moving in a gradual and difficult way towards redemption and dealing with their past crimes and mistakes--how do they all understand each other? How do they help each other out with that?

Gamora/Nebula

+ Anything that digs into the fraught messiness of their dynamic--Nebula’s insecurity and her love and hate for Gamora, Gamora’s more recent realization of her centrality in Nebula’s life, Gamora’s newfound family vs. Nebula’s antisocial tendencies, body modifications, the sheer crackling sexual chemistry…

+ Were they together before Gamora’s escape from Thanos? I like the idea of sex as comfort amongst Thanos’s "children," with Nebula in particular having her concept of family so warped by Thanos that she doesn’t distinguish at all between "sister" and "lover." Pining-while-already-having-sex is a trope I always love, too.

+ AUs that put them together for a longer time within the movie timeline. What if Nebula had been able to escape with Gamora, and she’d been part of the Guardians crew from the beginning? Or what if she’d joined up with them after Vol. 2? I’d love to see her awkwardly trying to get used to this new environment while Gamora tries to figure out what to do with her past running smack into her present--and what to do with her own feelings.

+ Anything post-Infinity War. Ghost-sex? Nebula on some kind of journey through an underworld to bring Gamora back in one form or another? (Horror totally welcome here.) The Snap gets undone and the two of them are reunited?

Heimdall/Loki
Heimdall & Loki

+ I just really love all the potential these two have. Heimdall’s been a consummately steady fixture of Asgard for centuries, but he’s also clearly not averse to breaking the rules if he thinks he needs to, and I think that’s exactly the kind of stability + flexibility that you’d need in a relationship with Loki, platonic or romantic.

+ I loved their dynamic in Ragnarok, with Heimdall casually accepting Loki’s return--and welcoming him home!--and Loki being resignedly irritated at Heimdall’s utter unflappability. So I’d just love to see more of that dynamic post-Ragnarok, with the two of them on the ship, bouncing off each other in funny ways, while at the same time Loki is not-so-secretly craving Heimdall’s respect a little and Heimdall is disconcerted by starting to fall for him/be invested in him.

+ They both died or "died" on the ship at the beginning of Infinity War, but what if they were only mostly dead? (Let’s just assume the ship didn’t blow up and Thor got… airlock-jettisoned or something.) I’d love to see the two of them on an intimate, tense galactic roadtrip to try to rejoin Thor and help him take down Thanos, with Heimdall able to see what’s happening but not able to get them there any faster, Loki wearing out his magic, tensions rising, the two of them awkwardly consoling each other…

+ Loki pretends to be Odin and banishes Heimdall, but Heimdall wasn’t fooled for a second--AU where Heimdall occasionally shows up at the palace or Loki makes his way into the forest and finds Heimdall in his exile? I’d love to see them in a weird detente, shippy or platonic--maybe they’re having hot sex in between being technically adversaries, maybe Loki shows up to Totally Not Ask for Advice or Heimdall shows up to Casually Warn Him of Danger. Maybe Heimdall is just happy to have a vacation for once and is kind of amused by the whole thing.

+ Other random things: loyalty kink, redemption, hurt/comfort, it seeming like Loki has betrayed someone when he hasn’t really, weird sex where Loki still looks like Odin and the whole thing turns into a weird game of blowjob chicken about who’s going to admit first that they know exactly what’s going on here, Heimdall training Loki to use his magic for seeing over long distances.

Heimdall/Thor

+ Any kind of arranged marriage or marriage of convenience post-Ragnarok fic. The realm needs stability! I’d love to see the two of them starting off in a relationship for diplomatic reasons and thinking they’ll stay only friends--aside from that pesky consummation--but starting to fall in love. Pining, angsty or funny. Weird Asgardian age differences and power differentials. Loyalty kink.

+ Or they’re already in a relationship… but then Thor is under pressure to seal some important diplomatic connection with a formal state marriage, and he may have to give up Heimdall? Basically, if you can think of an angsty conflict for their different roles to get them into, I’m there for it.

+ Heimdall survives Thanos’s purge of the Asgardians right alongside Thor, goes off with him and the Guardians, etc. It would be great to see anything in that window or after the Snap, with the two of them stuck grieving in a depopulated universe, trying to keep it together for what’s left of their people. I’ll always just choose to believe that they get the Asgardian deaths undone somehow, so I’m good with this seeming bleak, and obviously good with anything that has them teaming up to fix the past… and maybe fix the past even knowing that it could mean they won’t remember they fell in love?

+ Other things: sexy sparring, voyeurism, the headaches of being in charge, centuries-long slow burn, Heimdall having a fling with a Thor 1-era Thor as a presumed one-off and then having feelings about it once Thor starts to grow into his role.

Community

Abed Nadir/Jeff Winger

+ What if when the two of them got drunk together in season one (to facilitate Jeff drunk-dialing Britta), they’d wound up hooking up? How does it play into the Jeff/Britta/Slater triangle? Do the two of them wind up having secret sex for a while? Similarly, what if something had happened while Jeff was living in Abed’s dorm room? Weird Overboard homage, since Abed brought it up? Shared geekiness leads to makeouts?

+ Really, any kind of first-time, especially if it makes use of Abed’s movie/TV references. Is there a Don Draper impression? Do they wind up stuck in a rom-com situation?

+ Established relationship: awkward parental meetings made worse by Abed’s out-of-the-picture mom and Jeff’s out-of-the-picture dad? Physical or emotional h/c? (They both have enough material for a lot of the latter, from Jeff’s body image issues to Abed’s worry about whether or not he can connect to people without pop culture as a backdrop.) Relationship landmarks, like the first time Jeff drove Abed to the airport or the first time they stayed in without having sex or the first time one of them got sick?

+ Sex! Anything, but for them I particularly like body appreciation, film/TV-informed roleplay, praise kink, semi-public sex, and awkward sex.

Marvel Netflix

Frank Castle & David Lieberman
Frank Castle & David Lieberman & Sarah Lieberman
Frank Castle/David Lieberman/Sarah Lieberman

[I’m lumping these all together because my love is really for Frank and David and possibly also Sarah interacting and being close and essential to each other, so all the prompts are sort of flexible.]

+ In any kind of semi-peaceful season one postlude, I really like the idea of Frank just occasionally washing up on the Liebermans’ steps--sometimes for medical care, sometimes for information, and sometimes just for companionship. Frank gradually becomes a sort of unofficial roommate, and David and Sarah just wake up to find him out in the kitchen making breakfast for the kids? Do they ever have to make up stories for the neighbors about who "Pete" is and why he’s there so often? If it’s Frank/David/Sarah, I’d love pining. Frank assumes the possibility isn’t even on the table and that his love is obviously hopeless; David and Sarah maybe feel guilty about their separate feelings before realizing they’re shared and even then worry that they’ll drive Frank away from the partial security he’s gotten with them if they bring it up? First time fic with a fumbling get-together?

+ Any and all hurt/comfort. Frank needs patching up after some kind of self-assigned mission? Frank and David, or Frank and David and Sarah, all wind up involved together in some kind of tense situation that requires mutual support? I’m okay with anything there, from hostage situations to going up against bad guys with actual superpowers to "our car wrecked in the mountains." I’d just love to see them working together and looking after each other.

+ Frank and David in the show’s timeline, when they’re hiding out together--dealing with each other’s PTSD, sharing food, slowly getting to know each other better. I could also really get into an AU where Sarah winds up on the run with David at the same time--they’re both presumably even more frantic to get reunited with their kids and maybe a little more desperate/harder-edged--and all three of them are stuck in David’s lair, making the best of it and maybe dealing with simmering sexual frustration and longing as well.

+ Sarah winds up somehow kickstarting a dramatic plot of her own and is the one who gets David and Frank involved in a landscape they’re less familiar with. If Sarah has a canonical job, I embarrassingly cannot remember it, so I’ll take anything here: suspicious robbery at a bank where she works? Drug theft at a hospital? Budding supervillain in a corporation?

+ This would probably wind up being total fluff, but I kind of love the idea of Frank getting roped into very mundane Lieberman family activities, either because he’s actually in a relationship with them or just because he’s around or they need him. PTA meetings, school fundraisers, family reunions, kids’ birthday parties… And it would be so cool to see any of these combined with any more serious plots. Like, if you wanted to write a bleeding Frank inadvertently crashing a Lieberman family reunion, or Frank and David and Sarah having to outwit a possible gunman without disrupting a school fundraiser, I am here for that.

Ward Meachum & Danny Rand

+ Anything you can think of to fill in the gaps of their road trip through Asia, from full-on adventures to just glimpses of the two of them at a restaurant or Danny teaching Ward Mandarin or, more futilely, trying to teach him how to meditate. What’s Ward’s reaction to the first time they have to stay in an area with something other than a four-star hotel? Are they ever stuck having to camp out? What kind of trouble do they get into?

+ I really love when Ward’s sardonic cynicism and Danny’s grounded optimism get to bounce off each other, with Ward reluctantly accommodating him. Also: mutual protectiveness, hurt/comfort, the two of them getting further chances to connect, Ward dealing with his past, the two of them grappling with their own differently awful childhoods… anything with any of this would delight me.

+ The great thing about Marvel is how all tropes are suddenly totally plausible. So--Harold comes back as a ghost, or seems to come back as a ghost, and starts haunting Ward, who doesn’t know whether or not he’s losing his mind? The two of them going through a magical dream-sharing ritual? Ward gets temporarily de-aged to his even snarkier, even more vulnerable teenage self, without a clue what he’s done in the intervening years, and Danny has to look out for him and try to figure out what to tell him? The two of them get shuttled unexpectedly into some kind of parallel dimension where things happened differently (either within their own lives or on a global scale)? Danny gets temporary amnesia--all the worse if they’re in some kind of dangerous situation?

Selfie

Eliza Dooley/Henry Higgs

+ Pre-relationship flirtation of any stripe, full of UST, either with them both actually feeling like they’re on the same page and enjoying themselves or all fraught and full of pining. Slow dancing at some event, having conversations about how meaningful they are to each other that just slightly miss the mark and leave them both disappointed, etc.

+ First time/get together fic! I love all these tropey rom-com setups for them--fake relationship, thinly justified marriage of convenience (somehow statistically Henry’s more likely to get promoted if he’s married, maybe?), drunk Vegas wedding, surprise pregnancy, identity porn You’ve Got Mail setup where they fall in love online at the same time they’re falling in love in real life? And any and all takes on forced proximity--maybe they’re stuck at a pharmaceutical conference together? Or snowed in somewhere? Either way, does it end in bedsharing?

+ There are also a bunch of cracky premises I like with them. Bodyswap where Eliza has trouble resisting taking Henry’s body out for a spin, and definitely can’t resist taking it out for a spin via sex with Henry in her own body? Hanahaki disease pining? Suddenly developed the ability to read minds?

Eliza Dooley/Freddy/Henry Higgs

+ All of the above Eliza/Henry prompts, but… with Freddy in them too. Bizarre scenario in which they have to fake a poly relationship and slowly stumble into OT3 feelings? (Look, I would not put it past KinderKare to somehow have a situation in which this was necessary.) Having to share a hotel room at a conference when there’s only a single king-size bed? Three-way bodyswap?

+ I like the idea of the wrench the more antagonistic vibe between Henry and Freddy could throw into the works, complicating the pining and stretching it out further. Maybe Eliza and Henry are already together and Freddy assumes his chance is done? Maybe Henry is exasperated to be falling for this guy at all? Eliza feels torn over which of them to choose and doesn’t realize at first that they would go for a triad setup at all? Henry falls in love with them both but doesn’t like the idea of having more than one partner and feels guilty about it?

+ Established relationship Eliza/Henry where they gradually begin to fold in Freddy too. Maybe he winds up also getting some lessons from Henry? Maybe he intends to totally keep resenting Henry but finds himself charmed by him instead, so now, great, he’s pining for two people?

+ ...I have no real justification for this, but whatever: if you gave me a story with a Secretary-style setup where Henry is a reluctant, sometimes-awkward-sometimes-suave Dom and he winds up having kinky sex with subby Eliza and Freddy and there’s all kinds of over-the-desk spankings and naked dictation… I would read that.

The Terror

Captain Francis Crozier/Commander James Fitzjames
Captain Francis Crozier & Commander James Fitzjames

[I love these two both platonically and romantically, so I’m just grouping these prompts together: they can be bent in either direction.]

+ I know the fandom already has plenty AUs where they both survive and make it back home, but I love them so much that I’ll always want more of them. Having gone through hell together and gotten exceptionally close and interdependent and then suddenly being back in an environment where they’re supposed to behave "normally?" Dealing with the aftermath of scurvy and lead poisoning and, even more lingeringly, trauma and PTSD and guilt? Grappling with the reactions of the people back home who don’t know what to make of them? Does Crozier start drinking again, and how does Fitzjames deal with it if he does?

+ Looks at their evolving relationship after "A Mercy," when they finally start being on good terms, trusting each other and relying on each other? I’d love any look at their affection/friendship developing during this time. Are they surprised by coming to respect each other? What do they think of the changes in each other? Crozier’s are more obvious just by dint of him getting sober, but how does Fitzjames see him then, and how does he see James?

+ Any and all hurt/comfort, consolation, bedsharing, huddling for warmth, etc. My needs are simple. First kisses, first times, pining?

+ Did they ever really interact before the voyage? If so, did they always dislike each other, or did James start out admiring Francis only to get rebuffed by him? Or Francis start out liking him--maybe they met one-on-one, and James bragged less--only to then hear Fitzjames caricaturing him behind his back? Or did their relationship wax and wane? What if Crozier had known about Fitzjames’s origins from the beginning--would that have softened him towards him or become a weapon in one of their arguments? If Fitzjames knew Crozier knew, what would his reaction be?

+ Any kind of supernatural fix-it. One of them starts having foreboding dreams before the ships get stuck in the ice? Fitzjames dies and then wakes back up in the earlier days of the voyage with a drunken Crozier who still sees him as kind of a joke? (I’ve seen this idea bounced around and I love it.) A Groundhog Day loop where one or both of them keeps reliving one crucial day over and over again before they have all the info to make sense of why or what they’re supposed to do, so they have to work it out slowly? (And also potentially fall in love?)

Captain Francis Crozier/Sophia Cracroft/Commander James Fitzjames

+ I really like the idea of Crozier/Fitzjames having happened during the expedition--only for Crozier to then return home and find that marriage to Sophia has become a valid option. He still loves her, but he also loves Fitzjames… but at the same time, he obviously can’t marry James, and maybe he worries that their relationship was a matter of convenience, the kind of thing that would only ever happen at sea? Give me Crozier unhappily trying to sort out his feelings while Fitzjames and Sophia also unhappily pine and move slowly from being wary with each other (or tragically resigned, at least on Fitzjames’s part) to developing their own relationship. How do they come to think this is something that they can morally and practically do?

+ All the awkward social issues with making a poly relationship work in the Victorian era. How do they sort it out? Does one of them officially marry Sophia? What do people think is going on, and does anyone suspect any of it and gossip about it? (Even if it’s just someone thinking that, oh, Sophia is obviously cheating on her husband with his best friend, so sad, or, oh, it’s a good thing Sophia doesn’t know that the word is Fitzjames and Crozier are in each other’s pockets when they’re at sea!) What’s their domestic situation like?

+ How do Sophia and James start to connect, and how does their part of the relationship develop? Does Crozier know from the start that their affections include him, or does he even temporarily think he’s being shut out?

+ I’d love to see any romantic gestures among the three of them--anniversary acknowledgments, gestures of affection, sympathetic dealing with bad memories, dancing in the privacy of their own home, having tender sex (or, hey, emotionally meaningful rough sex).

Harry D. S. Goodsir/Lady Silence | Silna

+ I love Silna getting into bed with Goodsir and holding him when he’s breaking down and I’d happily read anything else along those lines--the two of them comforting each other, the two of them sharing a bed, etc. How did things shake out between them when Silna first returned to the camp with her tongue cut out and chaos all around? Once they’re all walking out, how does the rest of the crew react to the increasingly obvious fact that Silna and Goodsir are sharing a tent?

+ Sex--awkward, tender, fast because they’re both freezing? If it’s after Silna’s already cut out her own tongue and they can’t talk to each other, how do they make themselves understood, or try to? Can they convey to each other that this means something? (I’d also just love anything with the two of them working out means of silent communication generally. Full-on sign language, or just meaningful gestures and actions?)

+ Goodsir wanted to show Silna England, but I have to think she wouldn’t like it very much for a whole host of very good reasons. He, on the other hand, totally loved the Arctic, so I could totally get behind any happy or bittersweet endings that involve him staying behind with her. Maybe he chooses to? Maybe he’s the sole survivor and he just eases into it by default? How does he start to fit in, or awkwardly fail to? How does Silna balance her relationship with him with her shaman responsibilities? How does Goodsir relate to the tuunbaq and to Silna’s own abilities and connection with it?

+ The happiest of the happy ending AUs: Goodsir is actually able to stop Silna’s father from dying from Gore’s gunshot. She and her father stay in the ships’ orbit for a few months afterwards and Silna and Goodsir have time to get to know each other without an immediate cloud of grief, terror, and stress. Conversation practice, Goodsir compiling his dictionary, Silna showing him natural wonders he wouldn’t be able to find on his own, hookups in the privacy of Silna’s camp, general falling in love.
