Sliding this in right under the anon wire, for FFFX I received Escape Hatch, a glorious FATWS hurt/comfort fic with Sam & Bucky & Zemo friendship and loyalty and feeling betrayed and an implanted bomb and all good things, and I've already read it so many times I have bits of it memorized. Really emotionally intense and full of lovely, significant gestures and obvious feelings.
I didn't get a chance to read much in the collection beyond my gift, but what I did read was absolutely excellent. That includes:
Beads on a String, FATWS, Ayo & Zemo slow-burn platonic partnership with a great and nuanced development of trust, beautiful hurt/comfort, and a really cool arc for Ayo and her relationship with the outside world.
a dream is a wish (your heart makes), FATWS/Captain America, Sam/Bucky. Bucky goes into cryo in Wakanda and dreams himself up an idyllic relationship with Sam--then reality comes back. Achy, romantic, and understated, with really nice fantasy vs. reality discussion.
Black Ice, Evil (TV), light David/Kristen/Ben. Gorgeously realized casefic that is a pitch-perfect evocation of the show at its best, with great relationship dynamics and some incredibly good horror.
