Dear Yuletide Writer (2019)

Thank you so much for writing for me! Yuletide is my favorite time of year to be a fan--I love the excitement and the generosity of spirit and, obviously, my ability to suddenly find fic for obscure micro-fandoms. I hope you find something here that’s of interest to you, but you’ve already delighted me by wanting to write one of these fandoms at all. ODAO, so feel free to go your own way on this and disregard anything here that’s not helpful to you. And again, thanks, and I hope you have a wonderful Yuletide. If you want to get a general sense of me, I’m scioscribe on Tumblr and on AO3.

Booksmart: Gigi

I love the weird, generous, high-octane energy of this movie and the way it's sympathetic to all its characters; it's like it takes place in a universe two or three steps left of ours, where there might be all the same problems but where everyone's just a little bit delightfully off-kilter and a little bit kinder. And Gigi was my absolute favorite. I love how she's almost magically weird--her habit of always being everywhere and popping up unexpectedly delighted me--but that's underscored by sadness and loyalty and a history of attempted mailman-stabbing. She's just funny and tragic and hot and bizarre, and I adore her.

I've requested just Gigi, but feel free to include any of the other characters--there's no one in the tagset or film that I wouldn't be happy to see again.

Ship-wise, I love Gigi/Amy and Gigi/Annabelle, and I'm also really into intense, super-close Gigi & Jared, so bring on all the femslash and het smarm you like. And I'm fine with any background pairings.

Prompts

* More of Gigi's surreal adventures! I'd love to see a kind of tragicomic version of a night on the town for her, going from party to party and stunt to stunt, whether it's an original series of shenanigans or the movie done from her POV. Give me Gigi bluffing her way out of a situation by convincing someone her crushed-up vitamins are cocaine. Gigi somehow getting hired as the universe's worst babysitter. Gigi throwing a birthday party for Jared. Gigi starting a fight club. Gigi in a variety of Ferris Bueller's Day Off scenarios: maybe she basically kidnaps Molly and Amy, pre-film, and tries to get them skip school with her and relax? Maybe she successfully and habitually passes herself off as a celebrity? Or, BoJack Horseman-style, finds out she's the lookalike of a foreign dictator? Basically, I would just love to see Gigi getting into weird situations that can really bring out her full potential for humor, pathos, and general extra-ness.

* Gigi backstory and futurefic in general. What is her life like? What was she like when she was younger? Did she ever have a stretch of relative normalcy? Was she friends with the other characters back then? What does she want from her life/plan to study at Harvard? I'd love to jump forward and follow her along the years, checking in with her every now and then to see how she changes (or doesn't) as she gets older.

* The Gigi & Jared het smarm prompt! I love their friendship and mutual loyalty. How did they wind up so connected at the hip? Did they grow up together, or was there some catalyst that made them so close that they're constantly mistaken for boyfriend and girlfriend? (Or at least exclusive boyfriend and girlfriend--I'm fine with them having had sex before, I just don't want it to be the focus of their relationship.) What happens when college splits them up? Hurt/comfort with Gigi trying to make Jared feel less lonely? Hurt/comfort with Jared looking after Gigi when she's having some kind of breakdown?

* Femslash prompts! Gigi/Amy and Jared/Molly double-dates? (Gigi on a mini-golf course: I can't even imagine.) Gigi being the one Amy hooks up with in the bathroom? Gigi and Annabelle having oddly sweet roadside sex? Maybe Annabelle gets stood up at prom and Gigi rescues her in her own peculiar fashion? I'd love slow burn romances, too, maybe set in their college years, with Gigi sort of gradually becoming a little bit more stable while still retaining all her charms? I feel like she'd be a magnet for all kinds of tropey setups, because she just would be the kind of person who would create a fake relationship or a marriage of convenience or wind up doing a ton of bed-sharing or get sex pollened. So--yes, please, to all of that, seriously. And she's also just incredibly hot, so porn is very welcome. I feel like Gigi would both be able to fund and maintain a massive sex toy collection and be unbelievably inventive and game in bed, so go nuts.

* Gigi and the supernatural! Give me Gigi actually running into ghosts when she loses her virginity in the graveyard. Gigi the Vampire Slayer! Gigi winding up in a first contact situation with aliens! Gigi turned into a vampire or a werewolf! Gigi leading the rest of the cast into a situation where they have to stay all night in a haunted house to win a weird bet!

Everworld - K. A. Applegate: April O’Brien, Jalil Sherman

I’ve always loved this series. It has such a vivid world full of wonder and horror and sheer ridiculousness--I love the patchwork nature of Everworld and the way the characters can join up with the Vikings to fight the Aztecs and then go off to strike bargains with leprechauns. And I love that the characters are often called upon to make hard choices with no guarantee that they’re going to make the right ones. Everything has a genuine moral weight to it and all the character conflicts feel real--and I especially like that with Jalil and April, who come at the world from such different perspectives but who have a common stability because they’re both so grounded in those perspectives. (I really like Jalil continuing to believe in the usefulness of science and logic even in Everworld and April working all this into her understanding of the world while still keeping her faith.) They all have such a fire-forged friendship by the last book, and I’m really drawn to the thought of all the adventures--grim and fantastic--that they could have.

I’m requesting just April and Jalil because I would be happy with a story centered on just them, but I do love the whole foursome and everyone’s complicated relationships with each other, so if you want to include them, I’d totally love it.

I do ship April/Jalil, if you want to incorporate shippiness into any prompts, and I generally love the us-against-the-world April & Jalil & Christopher & David vibe generally--ride-or-die loyalty complete with free-floating sexual tension.

Prompts

* Any kind of post-canon adventure. I love their travels through Everworld, and if you wanted to set them down in the middle of an unexplored mythology or in any one of the settings we already saw in the series, I would just love to see them dealing with that even just on the practical level of working out how to get food and board and transportation. Stick them into the middle of what’s basically a video game side-quest and I promise I’ll enjoy it. As far as more purposeful adventuring goes, I’d love to see them recruiting for soldiers or acting as spies--and maybe in way over their heads on the latter front. Or do they become heroes-for-hire and get paid by villages to deal with various monsters or rampaging Sennites?

* Horror! One of them dies in Everworld and has to be rescued from one of the underworlds? April winds up as a Persephone parallel, or April and Jalil wind up paralleling Orpheus and Eurydice, at least partly? Lovecraftian geometry and landscapes, which are particularly hard on Jalil, and which have to be escaped? Nightmarish encounters with mythological creatures or figures or with fickle gods and goddesses who casually transform humans into stags or trees.

* Anything that has them stuck in a preexisting mythic story or scenario. I already mentioned Orpheus/Eurydice and Persephone, but I would also kill for them being stuck in a labyrinth as gifts to placate a minotaur or in a situation where someone wants to kill one or both of them for a fair wind or victory in battle. Cassandra curses, curses of the mummy, the Furies. Any dubcon cooperation with a creepy sex ritual--they get sex pollened into it? They’re fully alert but have to cooperate to save their friends? If the ritual is religious as well as magical, how does April deal with having participated, even through coercion, in something that goes against her own beliefs? And how awkward is it for them afterwards, and how does it affect their relationship?

* Jalil and science in Everworld! I’d be totally down for just “five experiments Jalil tried to do in Everworld, and one that actually worked the way it was supposed to,” or something along those lines--I just want to see more of him grappling with Everworld and deducing the rules that control it. Maybe those experiments draw the wrong kind of attention and get the team into trouble--or maybe they make them famous. Do they ever have unpredictable side effects, and are those scary, funny, or both?

* Life in wartime. I really like hurt/comfort and stolen moments of peace and quiet, so one of them fixing the other up after a hard battle or the two of them finding a little oasis to themselves in the middle of all the dirt and blood would be great. What would pass for a romantic gesture under those circumstances? How would they reunite if they’d been separated a long time?

* Everworld future-fic, in any scenario where the Hetwan and the Sennites don’t wind up winning. I really want to see how these characters would grow up under these circumstances, and what their lives in Everworld would look like once the immediate threat was gone. Do they ever regret leaving Earth behind for good? Do they settle in one part of Everworld, or keep traveling? Do they ever improvise a marriage ceremony--maybe after first accidentally getting married according to one of Everworld’s cultures? What are their connections like with the Everworld natives around them? And while I’m not usually into pregnancy fic, I would absolutely make an exception here, because it could be fascinating to see how these two would react to pregnancy and parenthood under these circumstances, especially if they're still pretty young.

The Perfection: Charlotte Willmore, Lizzie

I love how unpredictable this movie is. It starts off feeling like a slightly on-edge romantic f/f drama and then teeters on the verge of becoming a virus movie and then becomes its own weird, Gothic, distinctive thing. Lizzie and Charlotte have incredible chemistry, and I love how their relationship has such a weird blend of genuine loyalty and care… and for-your-own-good gaslighting and forced amputation and obsession and identity blurring. Charlotte feels like an escaped Brontë character, with this vibe of simultaneous fragility and danger, and Lizzie starts off seeming more normal only to wind up becoming stranger and more brutal. I've got some specific prompts, but it basically boils down to: I'd love anything that digs into that fucked-up, promising complexity and charts where it might go from the end of the movie, and I'd love anything that builds on the horror of "the Perfection" and Anton and Paloma's legacy.

Prompts

* I'm so curious about what happens post-canon. Does Charlotte find a new cause now that her life-long conflict with Anton has been resolved? Do she and Lizzie become dark, off-kilter vigilantes, seeking out rapists and abusers and brutally murdering them? Do they manage--you can work out the actual logistics for this or just hand-wave them, really--to take over the school and start running it together, becoming the new faces of Bachoff? Does that just mean trying to deprogram some of the top students? Networking while covering up for murder? Quietly restarting their lives and figuring out their relationship?

* Alternate, darker version of them taking control of the school, with the two of them falling into their own kind of worship of the Perfection even in Anton's absence? (Basically, if this leads to them founding some variation of Suspiria's school of "dance and the occult," I'm here for it.) Can they fully shake what they were taught, or do they find themselves repeating bits of that behavior even when they don't want to?

* I'd love full-on supernatural horror, too. I spent a lot of time thinking there might turn out to actually be some kind of cosmic force they were worshipping (and sacrificing to) that embodied a kind of musical/artistic perfection, and I'd be very happy to see this as a literal Lovecraftian cult that Charlotte and Lizzie wind up inheriting. Do they know how to deal with the force they might have just offended? Does it require them to do anything? Do they give the bodies to it as an offering? What does any of this look like--how they serve it, how they move forward, how they potentially try to defeat or contain it, etc.?

* More Gothic horror, just because the house is so perfect for it. The lingering ghosts of Anton, Paloma, Theis, and Geoffrey? A murderous student who's already been indoctrinated into the previous way of doing things? (I always welcome creepy children.) Past students seeking revenge for Anton? Alternately, I'll take other kinds of horror, too--what if that threatened virus/zombie outbreak from the beginning turns out to be real?

* I could also see some early canon-divergences. What if Charlotte's mom hadn't gotten sick until after she'd had some time to get to know Lizzie, and she'd wound up running away and taking Lizzie with her? What if her mom had died sooner and she'd come back earlier on to wage a different kind of war on the school? Would Lizzie have been more receptive to her then, or less? Or a role-reversal, maybe, where Charlotte is the one who stayed with Anton and Paloma, and Lizzie wound up having to leave the school for some reason, only to come back years later--I'd love to see her starting off with the same motives (revenge, desire to save Charlotte, growing love) but playing them out in very different ways. And I could also totally just go for a long-game road-trip through China, with the two of them deepening their relationship and Charlotte trying to change Lizzie's mind in more subtle ways.

* This could tie into basically any prompt, but--how long do they keep Anton alive? Just long enough for their performance, or does he become a kind of fucked-up trophy? If he stays alive, what are their plans for him?

* Random assortment of mini-prompts: music metaphors/musical structures for stories, Lizzie and Charlotte's relationship to music, their duets, consensual stump insertion, sex games that edge into being deeply unhealthy therapy, joyous sex all about emotion and experience/inexperience and tenderness and maybe kink discovery, porn in general, becoming composers, Charlotte having trouble dealing with the world after spending years as a virtual shut-in.

Society: Any

This is such a delightfully bonkers movie, and I love its riotous blend of horror, satire, teen angst, and sheer weirdness. Careful snail cultivation! Needlessly elaborate schemes to win high school elections! Mrs. Carlyn eating hair! Clarissa offering to pee in Bill's tea! Milo's extremely obvious crush that somehow leads to him putting sex dolls in his best friend's car! The weirdly, creepily lovey-dovey parent-child incest! I love how much room there is for pre- and post-canon exploration and for "Society" worldbuilding in general--and how much fuel there is for all kinds of kink. So whether you want to write weird, filthy xeno or post-canon adventure or pre-canon horror or any stripe of science-fiction-horror worldbuilding, or any combination thereof, with a happy ending or without, I am one hundred percent behind it.

Ship-wise, I like Clarissa/Bill/Milo, Clarissa/Jenny, Jenny/Bill, and Jenny/Jim/Nan. My DNWs for vore and mommy/daddy kink don't apply for this fandom.

Prompts

* I'm really intrigued by all the post-canon possibilities for Clarissa/Bill/Milo, since they're presumably on the run. Where do they go and what do they do to try to avoid Society's reach? How successful are they? Do they make any attempts to take down the rest of Society, maybe armed by Clarissa's insider info? (Does Clarissa have conflicted feelings about it?) Are there awkward teenage OT3 get-together encounters, where Clarissa can't even entirely understand the hang-ups Bill and Milo might have? How does Milo feel about being on the run, when he could have had an intact, normal life? Does Clarissa have some biological need--or psychological craving--that makes her have to shunt, and if so, how do they deal with that? Can she live off shunting Bill and/or Milo, sort of taking little sips out of them?

* And then there's canon and post-canon Jenny. I like to imagine that her coming out party was the first time she slept with Nan and Jim, like there was this kind of ridiculous formality (sort of echoing what Jenny says about the "coming out" being silly when she's been dating for years) to a creepy longstanding tension--and they seem to be in a honeymoon phase during the movie, slipping away during the orgy for some private time. So--what's that dark, weird fluffiness like, in their subculture where everyone thinks this is perfectly normal? What's a random post-canon day in the life? Does she miss Bill? Fear that he might come back for them?

* Pre-canon, I'm super interested in Bill and Jenny's relationship. What does Jenny think and feel about her brother--or "brother"--and how long has she known the difference between them? How did her parents make it clear to her, and how did they get child-Jenny to keep the secret? Did she ever have any real attachment to Bill, even in a half-hearted or ambivalent way, or has she basically been faking sisterly affection for years? Given Jenny's relationship with her parents, did she and Bill ever drift into any sexual experimenting on their own--gleeful on her part and simultaneously horny and horrified on Bill's? What is it like to grow up pretending your penned veal calf is your brother? And from Bill's POV, what are some early examples of him starting to feel out-of-place in his family? What strange stuff does he witness before the film even starts?

* What weird stuff does Milo observe over the years? Does he see anything else that he later realizes was a sign that Bill's family was basically cultivating him like Kobe beef? The pranks he plays on Bill are so bizarre--why a shrunken head, Milo? Why?--that I'm also curious to see his POV during that time, when he's maybe a weird, tumultuous combination of concern and jealousy and repression. Or what if everything had gone according to Society's initial plan? I'm totally down for grieving Milo poking around and investigating the bleak aftermath of his friend's/crush's death, trying to understand what happened and figure out what to do.

* Jenny and Clarissa meeting at parties over the years--do they eagerly anticipate their coming out orgies and the ability to participate in shunts? What are Society teenagers and children like when they're alone? Do they make out, mouths blending? How does Clarissa first start developing her fascination with Bill? Something I really like about the movie is the way Society, like class, doesn't always intersect with popularity or even social acceptability--Mrs. Carlyn is bullied by her daughter, but she's still protected and included (everyone's got that weird relative), and Marty is a classic supercilious dweeb who nevertheless gets Ted's support for student president because he's The Right Sort and Bill isn't--so I'd love anything that explores how Jenny and Clarissa relate, or don't, to the high school popularity system that values Bill so highly but has nothing to do with how their families live their lives.

* Society worldbuilding! What purpose do the shunts serve? Can they provide health and long life? Provide sustenance or even, weirdly, luck? Or are they just fun, and no party is complete without one? We see that the party has been able to hire cops as guards, not all of whom, presumably, are in Society themselves, so do they have hired lackeys who are in some way familiar with their nature? (Are they literally familiars?) We know they have that opening in Washington--of course--so what does Society look like in the higher levels of government and business? In other countries? Is there a secret history of Society and its changes over the years? And what's with the hair? Is it just a quirk of Mrs. Carlyn's, or does it act as a kind of drug for them--ultimately indigestible but intoxicating, and brain-frying if you eat too much of it?

* And finally, so much weird porn. This is apparently my movie for kinks that are like "I didn't know I was into that, but in this context, SURE," so in addition to what's already in my likes, I'm also enthusiastic about xeno and watersports and shunting-style vore here. Does all really great Society sex involve body-blending? Can Clarissa do it with Bill and Milo? What does it feel like to them? Given Clarissa's teacup offer, are watersports just societally/culturally normal for her and/or Jenny? Give me rearranging bodies, Clarissa growing a dick or tentacles or whatever to fuck Bill and/or Milo, people getting off via shunting or being shunted, sexy vampiric shunting, threeway body-blends, orgies, fucked-up coming out party deflowerings, "I accidentally absorbed one of your fingers during sex," or basically anything else that strikes your fancy.

Twin Peaks: Dale Cooper, Audrey Horne

I fell so hard for this show and for this ship. These two had scorching-hot, off-the-charts chemistry, and I love how swoonworthy and complicated their romance could be. There’s so much about them I love. It’s fascinating to me the way Audrey is almost Cooper turned inside-out, knowing and full of schemes on the surface but with a heartbreaking vulnerability and innocence underneath that, while he chooses a kind of sunny openness to the world but has seen enough horrible things that no level of evil surprises him anymore. I love the way Cooper buries himself in the metaphysical while Audrey does the same with the nitty-gritty investigative work (going undercover at One-Eyed Jack’s, spying through the knothole, turning over Bobby’s photographs to Coop). And I love the possibility for surreal, Lynchian fix-its of their respective dark fates.

They’re an OTP of mine, but if you don’t ship it, I would also be happy to see gen takes on their relationship. Anything that has them interacting closely and affectionately would be great. Of the supporting cast, I especially love Harry, Albert, Gordon, Tammy, Diane, Ben, Bobby, Shelly, Hawk, Laura, and the Log Lady.

I’m fine with a flexible approach to canon, so feel free to do any canon-divergence AUs, whether they have a specific divergence point or whether they just go off in their own direction after some designated canon development (Leland’s death, the season two finale, the death of BOB, etc.). I love supernatural explanations for Audrey’s situation in season three, but I DNW the institutionalization mentioned in The Final Dossier and would prefer not to take it as canon for Audrey or Annie.

Prompts

* Any kind of get-together fic. Tenderness in the aftermath of Audrey’s ordeal at One-Eyed Jack’s? Cooper finishes up his investigation into Laura’s death but does get that little Twin Peaks house he’d been eyeing and he and Audrey have a slow burn progression into romance when he’s there between assignments? They run into each other a few years after the original series and reconnect? (Tentatively, passionately, both?) Undercover as a couple? Return-era first time, full of melancholy regrets about wasted time and with or without weird time/reality-slippage?

* There are all kinds of happy things, shippy or gen, that I’d just love to see for them. Audrey’s excitement over seeing that Denise was a DEA agent was adorable, so future DEA Agent Audrey Horne and FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper working a case together? Breakfasts together over the years? (Cooper’s reaction to the reign of Starbucks?) Dancing? Mutual support--Audrey starts a business and Cooper makes sure to be one of her best customers, Audrey helps out more with Cooper’s cases, etc. X-Files-esque partnership as they investigate Blue Rose cases all over America? Fake dating or fake marriage as part of undercover work? Audrey waking up early from her coma, realizing that this Cooper isn't her Cooper, and setting out to solve the problem?

* Golden Age detective AU, with traditional ratiocination coming face-to-face with Lynchian weirdness. Does Cooper somehow formulate his own distinctive style of detection even in this mold? Or is he interviewing people and dissecting alibis and looking for contradictions while being told the owls are not what they seem? And what's to make of the young lady in the case? He's falling in love with her, but is she possibly a murder suspect? Does Audrey still basically attach herself to him as his assistant?

* Surreal/fantasy-style/fairytale situations. One of them rescuing the other from the Black Lodge? Cooper rescuing Audrey from the purgatorial, nightmarish white room she finds herself in at the end of season three, with Audrey having to figure out how to break through somehow to help him? S3 Audrey-with-Charlie is a tulpa, and the real Audrey is in the White Room, dislocated in space and time, sometimes catching glimpses of her other life? Audrey as Little Red Riding Hood, walking through the woods and off the path, looking for her special agent, and maybe having to pick him out from a crowd of wolfish doppelgangers? Reenacting “The Snow Queen” and having to restore Cooper’s heart post-S2? Audrey under a Sleeping Beauty enchantment that only Cooper can lift? They’re in the woods together when there’s a sex pollen outbreak that means their first time is going to be an accelerated, desperate act, and even more vulnerable than usual?

* Maybe Cooper is able to go back in time to before Laura's death, but under different--and maybe more hopeful--circumstances and with different results than at the end of S3? Or Audrey is the one who travels back and has to try to save Laura, and she calls Cooper for help? (Cooper is, after all, someone who would believe a random phone call saying you know him from the future.) Or I'd love to see one of them displaced in time and living their life out-of-order.

* Special porn likes: first time sex with virginity loss, wedding night sex, body appreciation, vulnerability, tenderness, dirty talk, tie bondage, undercover assignment costume porn and clothed sex, leisurely exploration, oral, edging, feverish sex, dreamlike Black Lodge sex, hallucinated sex, taking dirty pictures, reading Victorian porn together.

Wiseguy: Vinnie Terranova, Dan 'Lifeguard' Burroughs, Frank McPike

I love how this show delves so thoroughly and wholeheartedly into hurt/comfort and moral ambiguities and basically every undercover and identity porn trope ever. (Do I love that shot in the credits where it's just Vinnie reflected in endless mirrors? Yes, yes, I do.) I love all three of these characters. Vinnie is so dogged and principled and emotionally vulnerable; Lifeguard is so warm, charismatic, and loyal; Frank has such a world-weary, sour-faced kindness and the desire to do the right thing and look after his guy.

I'm requesting all three characters, but you can just focus on two, if you'd like; I'm mostly just interested in the team relationship and the different connections Frank and Lifeguard both have with Vinnie. And I'm fine with shipping here in any combination. (If you branch outside of the tag-set, I also like tragic, angsty Vinnie/Sonny and Frank/Lillah and Mel Profitt nonconning people for hurt/comfort purposes.)

Prompts

* I would adore absolutely any variety of hurt/comfort; the show has some setups for it that I love and would welcome seeing explored in more detail, if you want to basically have the scenarios play out again. The cops once again roughly haul Vinnie in for a crime they think he's committed, burying him in the system while Frank and Lifeguard work to get him out--and maybe to rain down a little righteous justice in the process? Frank or Lifeguard get tortured for information on OCB agents? (I'm kind of especially curious about this with Lifeguard--how does his secrecy get blown? What's it like for him to be suddenly plunged into the thick of things? Would his captors underestimate him?) Does one of them try to handle too many things on his own and wind up exhausted?

* Anything with a character getting hurt and then having to struggle to carry on despite the pain and fatigue is always A+ content for me. I'm just going to totally steal from [personal profile] rachelmanija here: I'd love to see Mel Profitt drag Vinnie out of the hospital when he's recovering from his gunshot wound and just generally be paranoid and extra and demanding and bizarre, forcing Vinnie to stay on his feet for hours until he can finally make his way to Frank or Lifeguard and collapse. I'd also love to see variations on this with the other characters, like Frank or Lifeguard working through illness or something like the early stages of appendicitis until things finally get to be too much.

* Slightly darker vein of hurt/comfort: noncon. Maybe it's Mel Profitt, and it's a single, straightforward incident and a violent/aggressive assault, meant as a kind of punishment or warning about Susan? Maybe it's weirder, with Mel or another target keeping it deliberately ambiguous as to whether or not Vinnie can refuse, and Vinnie winds up feeling some kind of complicity in the whole thing, especially if it goes on long-term? I just want Vinnie struggling with being hurt in a way he finds hard to admit to--and maybe even a way he feels guilty about--and Frank and/or Lifeguard being defensive and protective of him. And I'd also totally welcome this as being part of the "Frank or Lifeguard gets kidnapped and tortured" prompt above.

* Also, lighter and cozier prompts! I'd love to see a Terranova family dinner expand to include Lifeguard and/or Frank--I think Mama Terranova would instantly warm up to Lifeguard, and I suspect Frank would be particularly vulnerable to having someone cook for him and fuss over him a little. (Honestly, if you just want to write Mama Terranova semi-adopting either of them, I'm fine with that and the heaps of schmoop that might come with it.) I love holiday fic, if you want to write gift-giving and family traditions of any stripes. Or maybe they could get some relatively lighthearted team undercover work in, if you want to do a mini-casefic that's a little playful--I'd love seeing them all get a chance to be clever and have some fun. And I love little moments of comfort and connection--five times Lifeguard turned the tape recorders off to talk to Vinnie? Five times Vinnie looked after his handlers?
