I love the idea of these three, whether they're a tremendously fucked-up, unsolvable (but very hot) problem; a seemingly stable pre-canon setup with secrets simmering underneath; or, against all odds, a super-complicated relationship that's slowly becoming slightly less fraught. I do like triangle relationships rather than Vs, but I'm fine with differing levels of trust/affection/openness being offered to the various partners.

I love the nuanced contrast between these two--Heimdall has been a steady fixture of Asgard for centuries, but he can absolutely break the rules when he thinks he needs to, and has humor and vulnerability that goes unnoticed for a long time; Loki, meanwhile, is an obvious mess, but one who is drawn towards the idea of having some solid ground. "Welcome home" is one of my top favorite "not intended as romantic but I'm taking it that way, dammit" MCU moments. They just have a ton of complex potential.

Their reunion in Ragnarok has so much potential. I love Bruce's wariness about Loki--"Where you at these days?"--and Loki's total panic at the idea of running into the Hulk again; they both have obvious reasons to stay away from each other, which makes the idea of them being stuck close together all the more appealing. Plus, they both, from completely different directions, are controlled (or not-so-controlled) vortexes of chaos and violence, which is fascinating.

+ Loki lands on Sakaar and ends up in the arena, where he’s supposed to use magic for showy fights; he’s beyond terrified to run into the Hulk in the ring or out of it. Are their matches interesting enough for Loki to end up in the penthouse too? Can he use magic to calm the Hulk down into being Bruce again--either eventually or right away? And what’s Bruce’s reaction to realizing who he’s stranded with?
+ Post-Ragnarok, Bruce eventually comes back to himself, but it’s still a long journey to Earth and he’s stuck as the only human on a ship full of alien refugees. I love the idea of him awkwardly bonding more with Loki just because Loki is one of the few people there he knows--and one who has an active interest in not making him angry--and maybe taking a subconscious interest in Loki’s attempt at reinventing himself. Does he relate at all? (He is, presumably, fresh off years of killing enslaved gladiators--he has to have his own very recent residual guilt.) Do they end up collaborating on Asgardian civil projects together and find they actually kind of get along?
+ I love characters who have a relationship where the only gestures of affection they’re ever likely to make would be weird and specific to their relationship, whether those gestures are romantic or indications of friendship, and these two definitely qualify. A Hulk-out where the Hulk has actually gotten kind of fond of Loki? Bruce trying to teach Loki literally any strategy of dealing with anger or resentment? Loki giving Bruce a peek behind the magic-is-science curtain?
+ Accidental marriage, marriage of convenience, accidental soulbonds--anything with any of these would make me ecstatic. I just love "forced to take each other into consideration" and "this person is suddenly important to me, DAMMIT."

These two are just so hot and so prickly. I love the idea of them being in this bristly, hard-to-explain arrangement that works for both of them and has a solid emotional core, even if that seems impossible on the surface. I tend to especially like the idea of them starting out as friends-with-benefits, thinking that obviously they won't get attached, and then, of course, slowly falling into something more romantic--or at least more deeply connected--while probably denying it as much as possible.

+ Any kind of marriage or soulbond trope. Maybe a wedding between Asgard's prince and Valkyrie is recommended for an easy morale boost? Maybe Loki has to do some magical ritual that requires the two of them getting married? Maybe they have ritual sex, and a soulbond arises in response to that? Is there some scenario where they're about to go into an apocalyptic battle, and they impulsively get married beforehand, don't die, and then have to face up to their own feelings?
+ Valkyrie rescuing Loki in any capacity. I like her getting to be the Big Damn Hero and the effective jock of the two of them, and I also like team-up scenarios where they work together and both appreciate each other's gift for fighting dirty.
+ Hurt/comfort, because they're both so good at getting into trouble and so very, very bad at emotionally responding to another person's needs, and I absolutely love awkward comforting. Is one of them (or both of them) dealing with nightmares that the other one tries to handle under the guise of "you're kicking me in your sleep, and this needs to stop"? Does Loki interfere with Val's mind again--this time with good intentions--only to have it blow up in his face because that's a terrible tactic? Are they huddling together for warmth? Anything with hurt and (reluctant, awkward, inexperienced) comfort would make me so happy.
+ Sakaar adventures! What if Val had been the one to discover Loki? I like the idea of her impulsively, and for reasons she can't parse, in some way stopping him from going to the Grandmaster as either a gladiator or a possible dubconny sugar baby--maybe she maneuvers things so the Grandmaster gives him to her as a perk instead, or maybe she takes him on as a weird kind of assistant. Morally dubious situations, forced proximity, shock devices, slavefic, rough-and-tumble and sleazy drinking partners, etc., pre-Thor showing up. (And certainly if you want to go even further into canon-divergence, I'd be hugely interested in what happens after that.)
+ Time travel! Loki goes back in time to the height of the Valkyries. How much can he change? How much would he want to change? I love both massive timeline interference and angsty "I have to let this tragedy happen to ensure my own future" time travel setups--don't feel like you have to stick with canonical time travel rules. Or maybe one of them is looping the events of Ragnarok and slowly getting more and more drawn to the other? And also impatient with having to jump-start the other person into helpfulness? Or does post-Ragnarok Val go back to the earlier Thor movies or Avengers and deal with that Loki? I kind of love the idea of her storming the Void on a pegasus to rescue him and also her knocking some sense into his head around the time of Thor (while also providing the much-needed reassurance that Odin sucks).

These three! The issues! The angst! I adore the idea of the three of them, whether they're connecting as a matter of survival while they're all under Thanos's control, breaking away from him and needing to rely on each other, or having an unexpected reunion post-Ragnarok. I really like the way Loki could act as a kind of odd stabilizing element and catalyst for Gamora/Nebula, since he's outside of their competition tango, and the way they could, by being obviously messy and dark and complicated, give him companions that he doesn't feel as fundamentally unequal to. Just give me all the weird, unexpected emotional attachment, please.

They’re all stuck with Thanos and finding tentative comfort and stress release with each other while maybe bonding more than they intend to. Anything.
+ Or the Guardians + Nebula are hired to protect the Asgardian refugees as they travel towards their new home, and Gamora and Nebula are surprised to run into Loki again...
+ I’d love to see the three of them moving in a gradual and difficult way towards redemption and dealing with their past crimes and mistakes--how do they all understand each other? How do they help each other out with that?
+ Pregnancy of any stripe except "Loki gets Gamora and/or Nebula pregnant": pregnant Loki, Gamora pregnant via Nebula, Nebula pregnant via Gamora, Gamora or Nebula pregnant specifically because of both lovers, anyone in the OT3 pregnant because of sex with a third party. I adore the idea of them catching feelings for each other and proceeding about having a relationship in, again, sarcastic domesticity--punctuated with occasional reality-saving.

+ The New York Sanctum is more effectively protected if its resident sorcerers are married, obviously, so they seal the deal for the good of the universe… with each being convinced that the other doesn't really have any feelings about it.

The fucked-up, fragile, impossibly entangled nature of these two makes them one of my favorite ships. I love what a complicated, dark history they share, both in terms of trauma from Thanos and how they relate to each other because of it, and I love how the movies have shown them slowly digging their way out of that to forge something new. Whether they're in a state of messed-up ambivalence or start-and-stop relationship-building, I just love them so much.

+ Anything that digs into the fraught messiness of their dynamic--Nebula’s insecurity and her love and hate for Gamora, Gamora’s more recent realization of her centrality in Nebula’s life, or Gamora’s newfound family vs. Nebula’s antisocial tendencies.

I like the idea of sex as comfort amongst Thanos’s "children," with Nebula in particular having her concept of family so warped by Thanos that she doesn’t distinguish at all between "sister" and "lover." I love Bruce's wariness about Loki--"Where you at these days?"--and Loki's total panic at the idea of running into the Hulk again; they both have obvious reasons to stay away from each other, which makes the idea of them being stuck close together all the more appealing. Plus, they both, from completely different directions, are controlled (or not-so-controlled) vortexes of chaos and violence, which is fascinating.

A Hulk-out where the Hulk has actually gotten kind of fond of Loki? Bruce trying to teach Loki literally any strategy of dealing with anger or resentment? These two are just so hot and so prickly. I love the idea of them being in this bristly, hard-to-explain arrangement that works for both of them and has a solid emotional core, even if that seems impossible on the surface. I tend to especially like the idea of them starting out as friends-with-benefits, thinking that obviously they won't get attached, and then, of course, slowly falling into something more romantic--or at least more deeply connected--while probably denying it as much as possible.

Does Loki interfere with Val's mind again--this time with good intentions--only to have it blow up in his face because that's a terrible tactic? Are they huddling together for warmth? Anything with hurt and (reluctant, awkward, inexperienced) comfort would make me so happy.
+ Sakaar adventures! What if Val had been the one to discover Loki? I like the idea of her impulsively, and for reasons she can't parse, in some way stopping him from going to the Grandmaster as either a gladiator or a possible dubconny sugar baby--maybe she maneuvers things so the Grandmaster gives him to her as a perk instead, or maybe she takes him on as a weird kind of assistant. Morally dubious situations, forced proximity, shock devices, slavefic, rough-and-tumble and sleazy drinking partners, etc., pre-Thor showing up. (And certainly if you want to go even further into canon-divergence, I'd be hugely interested in what happens after that.)
+ Time travel! Loki goes back in time to the height of the Valkyries. How much can he change? How much would he want to change? I love both massive timeline interference and angsty "I have to let this tragedy happen to ensure my own future" time travel setups--don't feel like you have to stick with canonical time travel rules. Or maybe one of them is looping the events of Ragnarok and slowly getting more and more drawn to the other? And also impatient with having to jump-start the other person into helpfulness? Or does post-Ragnarok Val go back to the earlier Thor movies or Avengers and deal with that Loki? I kind of love the idea of her storming the Void on a pegasus to rescue him and also her knocking some sense into his head around the time of Thor (while also providing the much-needed reassurance that Odin sucks).

I really like the way Loki could act as a kind of odd stabilizing element and catalyst for Gamora/Nebula, since he's outside of their competition tango, and the way they could, by being obviously messy and dark and complicated, give him companions that he doesn't feel as fundamentally unequal to. Just give me all the weird, unexpected emotional attachment, please.
