Thank you so much for writing for me! Hurt/comfort is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and I can never get enough of it, so I'm already very appreciative of whatever you make. <3 I figured the tags are probably the prompts here, so I've just talked a little in each section about what I like about the fandom, characters, relationships, etc., if that's helpful.

All requests this year are for fic. I have gifts enabled and am open to treats.

I'm [archiveofourown.org profile] scioscribe on AO3 and [tumblr.com profile] scioscribe on Tumblr.

Accidental Soulbond - distance and lack of touch causes characters pain and illness | Aftermath of sex pollen | Altered States - Fever | Character A abandons plans in order to rescue Character B | Character doesn't realize how badly they're hurt until they collapse | Character is injured/ill while stranded with the enemy; enemy is surprisingly nice about it | Character Who Believes They'll Be Tortured/Killed Begs Mercy for Another | Distress due to an imminent separation from the other character | Emotional distress from pining/yearning/longing | Enemies to Lovers - Accidental soulbond between enemies | Huddling for Warmth | Hurt character notices comforter is upset that they're hurt and attempts to comfort them | Long-distance comfort via soulbond | Prisoner A Bargains Themselves to Captor in Exchange for Medicine/Bandages/etc. for Prisoner B | Protectiveness | Refusing to Leave Hurt Character's Side | Sex to forget horrible situation for a short time | Soulbonding is the only way for A to save severely injured B's life

I love the delicate balance this movie strikes between heartwarming and heartbreaking, with the men forming rapport across the lines and gradually taking greater and greater risks for each other. Audebert and Horstmayer in particular are lovely: Audebert reminds Horstmayer of happier times and thaws him out a little, and Horstmayer winds up reconnecting Audebert with his wife and driving home how artificial the war's divisions really are. Surprising connections between characters who are supposed to be enemies, mutual recognition of honor and decency, a wintry landscape, the potential for some amazing pining … it's all total catnip.

The movie has a tight time-span, and I definitely don't need the story set within that! I also love canon-divergence AUs, setups where they meet earlier during the war (including under wildly different circumstances), post-canon stories, and big-picture AUs like "an alien invasion during WWI forces all the countries to work together." I'm also totally willing to buy into whatever background logistics you want in order to get them into the situations in the requested tags. Want to invent a random Ruritanian country that they're both at war with, so they have a mutual enemy who could capture them? Go for it! Sex pollen hits the trenches? Sure! I just love them stumbling into situations where they're faced with unexpected vulnerability and tenderness and it hits them with a wave of feelings, platonic or romantic.

For the shippy variant, I'd prefer it if their wives are fine with it, either in a general poly way, an "under the circumstances, it's fine for you to find comfort where you can" way, or some "it's okay because it's this specific person you have feelings for" way. Threesomes, foursomes, or other poly relationships among the two couples are also totally fine.

I also requested this fandom for Chocolate Box, if those prompts would be helpful.

Aftermath of Body Horror | Altered States - Delirium | Body Horror | Character A Has to Perform Emergency Surgery on Character B | Character A is a reluctant vampire who doesn't want to drink from Character B but has no choice | Character A Somehow Convinced Character B Is an Impostor | Character is frustrated by need for help with everyday tasks | Character with injured hands requires assistance (which turns sexual) | Cuddle or Die | Experimented on by evil scientists | Gentle Sex Because One Partner Is Ill/Injured | Haunted by having looked into Lovecraftian abyss | Hurt by Mind-Controlled Friend or Loved One | Injury after encounter with a cosmic horror | Non-Consensual Body Modification | On the Run with a Sick or Injured Partner | Past Rape/Non-con | Time loop - Forced to watch LI to die repeatedly until they break the loop succeeding in rescuing LI | Werewolf AU – comforting an unwillingly turned werewolf through first transformation | Wingfic - growing wings as body horror

Re-Animator is such a goofy, gory delight, and it hit me with so many unexpected feelings, especially in the first movie. It's so funny and frequently, delightfully over-the-top while still taking its characters' emotions seriously, and I love the intensity and weirdness of the Herbert-Dan relationship and would be happy with anything that gave me more of that. I really like them being mutually emotionally tied up with each other and having this bizarre loyalty kink and sense of teamwork.

And fortunately for me, their lives lend themselves towards a lot of h/c premises. Feel free to make the body horror-related tags as disturbing as you like: I especially like weird or viscerally unsettling transformations that couldn't occur in the real world. I also love any kind of scenario where their experiments go wrong with unexpected results, like "this attempt at a reanimating serum accidentally created vampires" or "regrettably, violating the natural order so many times has resulted in a cosmic tear in reality" or "the fumes from this experiment mean we have to cuddle or our hearts will explode." In general, just mess with their bodies and their heads, including in extreme ways (if you like), and let them try to deal with it (and any potential feelings it brings up) and comfort each other.

Unhappy horror endings are fine for this fandom--I don't want them to betray each other/end on bad terms, but they can die horribly, destroy the world, etc.

I also requested this fandom for Chocolate Box, if those prompts would be helpful.

Marvel Cinematic Universe Part 1

James "Bucky" Barnes & Sam Wilson & Helmut Zemo (all hurt)
James "Bucky" Barnes/Sam Wilson/Helmut Zemo (all hurt)

Accidental Soulbond - distance and lack of touch and regular sex causes charaters pain and illness | Accidental Soulbond - distance and lack of touch causes characters pain and illness | A and B risk safety/health to help C | Captured and tortured together & doing their best to help each other through it | Cooking for hurt character | Characters survive dangerous situation together; no longer know how to function separately | Comfort Sex | Forced to Relive Trauma for Mission Report/Debrief | Grief/Mourning For What Ends Up Being a Temporary Character Death | Hurt A is too out of it to realize how much B is going through to keep them safe | A must hurt B to save B from worse pain but B doesn't know true reasons for A's action | Pretending to Betray Someone to Save Them | Protectiveness | Soul bond means A can feel B's pain even when B is trying to hide it | Stranded on alien planet | Unexpected tenderness | Werewolf AU - Comfort via pack cuddle pile | Wounded characters attempt to care for one another

I love the snarky, wary temporary alliance Sam and Bucky formed with Zemo in canon and the potential for them to gradually develop a weird bond of genuine attachment and mutual loyalty. Their three-way relationship is a perfect fit for my love of enemies-to-lovers/enemies-to-friends, redemption arcs, and/or new relationships and priorities that change how one-time villains approach things. Plus: very serious hurdles to get over, unusual team-ups, fascinating conflicts in backgrounds and outlooks, and terrific chemistry. (And they're all very hot together.)

I'm fine with whatever means you want to use to get them together, either as part of the plot or a background handwave. Maybe Zemo's paroled to Sam and Bucky's custody with certain conditions or restrictions, or they just have to check him out from the Raft for various missions? I'm also totally good with established relationships here, whether that means they've already formed a surprisingly stable team, they're hooking up but not talking about it, they're in an actual relationship, or anything in between.

I'm also completely fine with Sam/Bucky in a Sam & Bucky & Zemo scenario.

For "all hurt," all three characters don't have to be suffering the same kind of hurt, and it's fine for only one to be going through the requested hurt and the others to just be really worried or emotionally distressed--I just want the focus to be on the three of them going through it together and supporting each other.

I love h/c for these three, especially with the hurt and comforting offering the chance to either prove the depth of the relationship or to cause it to move forward (maybe even to their surprise). Some elements I especially like for these scenarios include them showing some serious loyalty to each other, risking themselves for each other, doing significant touching, pining (especially with Zemo pining for Sam and Bucky and understandably thinking they wouldn't reciprocate), focusing on each other's hurts rather than their own, being in isolated situations with forced proximity, the three of them united against a cold or apathetic bureaucracy, not knowing each other's feelings, forming super-tight bonds with blurred boundaries, realizing feelings, and being surprised by the comfort on offer.

I have a recent Chocolate Box request for this fandom, if those prompts are helpful.

If you're reading this after reading the preceding section, I'm sorry for all the repetition!

I love the snarky, wary temporary alliance Sam and Bucky formed with Zemo in canon and the potential for them to gradually develop a weird bond of genuine attachment and mutual loyalty. Plus: very serious hurdles to get over, unusual team-ups, fascinating conflicts in backgrounds and outlooks, and terrific chemistry. (And they're all very hot together.)

Similarly, Sam/Zemo has great ideological differences, and I can really see Zemo getting gradually drawn to Sam's genuine heroism--I'm a sucker for “pragmatic, more cold-blooded person falls head over heels for a committed, heroic idealist," especially since Sam is still a badass who isn't remotely naive: he's just choosing to keep trying to change the world anyway. And I can see Sam finding a weird satisfaction in taming a theatrical but also semi-feral-with-suicidal-grief supervillain, and I love the idea of him getting a lot of pampering and luxury and personal service via Zemo's money and devotion.

I'm fine with whatever means you want to use to get them together, either as part of the plot or a background handwave. I'm also completely fine with Sam/Bucky in a Sam & Bucky & Zemo scenario.

Some elements I especially like for hurt Sam include him being woozily out of it, feeling like he has to maintain a public facade that he can only let slip in more intimate situations, getting to be comforted for more mundane hurts he'd otherwise dismiss as not that big of a deal, getting avidly defended, getting pampered, being deeply understood, delving into past trauma (canonical or invented), dealing with injury/trauma aftermaths that have their own difficulties and hurdles, acts of comfort and caretaking both big and small, the hurt precipitating demonstrations of serious loyalty (and/or affection and/or admiration) from his comforter(s).

I have a recent Chocolate Box request for this fandom, if those prompts are helpful.

I'm also completely fine with Sam/Bucky in a Sam & Bucky & Zemo scenario.

Some elements I especially like for hurt Zemo include him getting hurt on behalf of others somehow (protection/rescue/self-sacrifice, offering himself up as a bargaining chip or distraction, etc.) and that revealing some seriously intense feelings, pining and being convinced that obviously reciprocal feelings are off the table for obvious reasons, Raft-related whump, white-knuckling it through a mission when he's in pain, establishing that he has new loyalties, attempts to hide hurt, surprising (for him) tenderness from his comforter(s), dealing with grief/suicidal ideation/etc., h/c as a relationship catalyst, feeling weird about being vulnerable in front of others (or lacking a defense mechanism, in the case of a lost voice), and implausible extreme h/c situations (no matter how contrived).

I have a recent Chocolate Box request for this fandom, if those prompts are helpful.

Evil

David Acosta & Kristen Bouchard & Ben Shakir (hurt Ben)
David Acosta/Kristen Bouchard/Ben Shakir (hurt Ben)

Accidental Soulbond - distance and lack of touch causes characters pain and illness | Altered States - Hallucinations | Big Damn Rescue (with comfort) | Character A offers to share a bed with Character B who is having nightmares | Character Cradling Sick Character's Head in Their Lap | Character doesn't realize how badly they're hurt until they collapse | Character rescued from being trapped in a dream/nightmare has a hard time telling what is real | Character trapped in a dream/nightmare | Character who normally takes care of everyone else receives support during difficult situation | Characters live together while one recovers from hurt | Checking for Fever with a Gentle Touch That Lingers | Gentle Sex Because One Partner is Ill/Injured | Magically induced pain | Polyamory: A/B reassure C that they are not a third wheel | Refusing to Leave Hurt Character's Side

These three have such an excellent rapport and chemistry. I love their different worldviews--Kristen's agnosticism (with past Catholicism) and psychiatric training, David's devotion to the Church and his very real belief in visions and spiritual warfare, and Ben's atheism with a cultural connection to Islam and techie/scientific/practical expertise--and the respect they have for each other (and, for that matter, the way they sometimes get into more tense disagreements). The way they all take turns being right about cases is also really appealing to me. And they're just so dear with each other, sometimes with a crackling sexual charge and sometimes with settled, cozy closeness--but always with a lot of mutual loyalty and affection.

I'm requesting hurt Ben, but "all hurt" is also great and totally welcome if it fits your scenario. I love the potential for the h/c here to draw out or create additional intimacy, whether that's romantic/sexual or platonic, and I also love smarm-like, boundary-blurring things for the three of them where none of them are completely clear on exactly how they'd define their relationship. (Soulbonds! Tenderness! Bed-sharing! Working out an OT3!) And I feel like Ben is more used to providing back-up than being in the spotlight, which makes me want to shower him with whump and comfort. He also doesn't like to admit when he's being bugged by something that appears supernatural, which makes him a great candidate for keeping the hurt tamped down until something finally gives.

For shippy stuff, please just give Kristen and Andy an amicable (if sad) background breakup.

I also requested this fandom for Chocolate Box, if those prompts would be helpful.

The Wilds

Dot Campbell/Fatin Jadmani (both hurt)
Shelby Campbell/Toni Shalifoe (both hurt)

Accidental Soulbond - distance and lack of touch and regular sex causes characters pain and illness | Aftermath of sex pollen | Altered States - Drugged Into a State of Confusion and Fear | Bittersweet use of found objects as post-apocalyptic comfort | Broken soulbond | Caring for someone's injured hands | Character Exhausts Themself Doing Magic | Characters survive dangerous situation together; no longer know how to function separately | Comfort Sex | Emotional/mental scars manifesting as physical wounds | Feigning normalcy to forget trauma | Helping hurt character to dress/undress | Minimizing own hurt because others have worse problems | Non-Consensual Body Modification | Protectiveness | Refusing to Leave Hurt Character's Side | Soulbonding is the only way for A to save severely injured B's life | Trapped in an evil lab | Trapped/Injured in a Cave-In

This show is such iddy catnip for me, and I love how intense and high-stakes its situations are and how easily it can incorporate wild additional elements: the Dawn of Eve project is already so out-there that soulbonds, apocalypses, magical powers, and even more extreme survival scenarios and sinister experiments all feel like they would totally fit. Plus, they go through so much trauma on the island and in the subsequent cover-up--and could run into so much more--that they could all use a lot of comfort, both immediately and in the long-term. Feel free to go all-out on weirdness, horror, melodrama, comic book elements, anything.

I'm requesting "both hurt" for both pairings, but the characters don't have to be suffering the same kind of hurt, and I'm also perfectly fine with only one of them going through the hurt in the tag and the other just being very worried and emotionally distressed about it.

Dot/Fatin: I love how these two are ostensibly opposites and yet wind up with such a relaxed, fun, flirty rapport with each other; they have an excellent blend of differences and compatibility. Generally, I love them having this hard-earned mutual respect and affection and just plain working well together. I feel like they each really enrich each other and have some sublime odd couple energy. Hurt/comfort feels like a perfect way to get them over the hurdle into outright shippiness--highlighting the vulnerability that isn't usually as obvious with them because Dot's so capable, Fatin's so sophisticated, and they're both so tough in their different ways.

Shelby/Toni: I love their contrasting demeanors, with Shelby's bubbliness and cultivated extroversion contrasting with Toni's rawness that's both angrier and more laid-back, and I love how much vulnerability and hurt they both have underneath that. (And how future-Shelby, in the flash-forwards, basically takes on some of Toni's traits.) And I really like how Toni becomes almost chivalrous towards Shelby after she knows Shelby's struggling with internalized homophobia/the weight of her background/the emotional legacy of her asshole dad. Their canon relationship already has a lot of delicious h/c, but I want even more.

I also requested this fandom for Multifandom Horror and Id Pro Quo, if those prompts would be helpful.
