H/C Bingo Card
I have my h/c bingo card for this year, and it's a good one! Please offer potential suggestions for fills in the comments, if you have any for any of my fandoms past or present. (Or future, if you know something I don't.)
| difficult / unexpected pregnancy | fever / delirium | captivity | fall from grace | brainwashing / deprogramming |
| muzzles / gags | cages | culture shock | minor illness or injury | arena |
| arrest | dystopia | WILD CARD | desecration | counseling |
| extortion | cursed | loss of hearing | isolation | forced to uncover past trauma |
| archaic medical treatment | taking care of somebody | humiliation / degradation | drugged | hypoglycemia / low blood sugar |

For either the fever/delirium or drugged squares, one phrase: out-of-it limpet Biggles.
(Not that I couldn't see MANY lovely options for those in any fandom ...)
Archaic medical treatment is absolutely made for Biggles. There is no shortage of options, variously horrifying by modern standards, but also a lot more likely to lead to the sort of medical treatment that involves medically necessary cuddling.
Muzzles/gags: Somewhat-more-dystopian Paroleverse in which Zemo has to wear one of these in public. Extra dystopian variant: it's locked with a key so that only Sam and Bucky can unlock it, but he can't remove it himself.
Arena: Raft prisoners are forced to fight in gladiatorial matches for a televised audience. Sam and Bucky learn of this and are horrified. Infiltrating as spectators? Having to join in?
Culture shock: I also suggested this one in Philomytha's comments, but I really love the idea of von Stalhein feeling isolated and out of place when he first defects, and Biggles coming by to bring him some little housewarming present to welcome him.
Also works great for Zemo - it's all fine and good to tease him about his loathing of American snack food and chain gas stations, but when it comes right down to it he not only feels out of place a lot of the time, but most of what would have made him feel at home is gone. Cue Sam/Bucky digging up some little Sokovian touches - food, music, etc - to make him feel a little more connected to everything he left behind.
Brainwashing/deprogramming: This obviously fits Bucky really well, but it would also work for, e.g. Zemo unlearning some of his own bias against supersoldiers, maybe running into a situation in which he is forced to realize that it's not *just* Bucky, that he's not willing to kill people who are also innocent victims who didn't want the powers they were given.
Minor illness/injury or taking care of somebody: I am a *huge* sucker for characters who aren't used to being shown care or affection getting little touches of it when they thought they were going to have to power through alone. Biggles noticing that EvS has missed their regular dinner date/book club and stopping by to check on him and finding him down with food poisoning or something similar, and sticking around to make sure he's okay? Sam thinking he's going to power through a cold/flu and getting tag-teamed by Bucky and Zemo bringing him soup and making sure he stays in bed?

humiliation/degradation - bouncing off the discussion on my DW: von Stalhein is a Prussian aristocrat. The Soviets want to make sure he knows his place in the new order. Biggles, of course, is unfailingly polite to him <3
forced to uncover past trauma - Biggles bounces back amazingly well from all the horrible things that happen to him, but what if he didn't? Maybe with something related to being undercover?
arena - being captured and forced into gladiatorial combat for Reasons is exactly the sort of thing that would happen to Biggles and friends!

I am also 10000% here for Biggles as the only person who is polite and respectful to EvS while everyone in his Soviet world is absolutely awful to him; this is the stuff of which my id is made. <3

Fever/delirium would be perfect for Biggles and his history of malarial attacks. Perhaps he has one while he's holding von Stalhein captive, and EvS could either take advantage of this to escape, or... stay and soothe his fevered brow.
Cursed would also work for Biggles and team, given their constant globe-trotting they must have come into contact with a cursed artefact or two, Indiana Jones/The Mummy-style.

"Arrest" is also brilliant, and kind of gives me Sandie/Eloise vibes.
Somehow, I think "difficult/unexpected pregnancy" gives me the some instant Twin Peaks feelings? Audrey getting any kind of supernatural support from Cooper (or Laura!) during her pregnancy with Richard would be heartbreaking. ("Hypogylcemia" is very much something I could see for Audrey/Cooper, too. XD)

Hmm, what else -- maybe brainwashing/deprogramming for Revelator?
