Dear Candy Hearts Confectioner
Jan. 6th, 2023 04:20 pmThank you so much for creating something for me! I've included prompts in case they're helpful—I have more for some fandoms/relationships than for others, but that's just because of what I could think up; I'd be delighted to receive anything for any of these requests. <3
I have gifts enabled, and treats are very welcome!
I'm

Biggles Series - W. E. Johns
Fandom-specific DNWs: Period- or canon-typical racism. For stories with von Stalhein, I don't want WWII settings or any mention of Hitler or Nazis. For Ginger/Algy, I would prefer Ginger to be 18+.
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth & Erich von Stalhein
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth/Erich von Stalhein
* It's revealed that von Stalhein has covertly foiled plots against Biggles/long-distance saved his life before, even when they were still working on opposite sides. Maybe we actually see a canon-typical adventure where von Stalhein intervenes, or maybe the truth only comes out sometime after Hatchet or Looks Back. If Biggles finds out, what does he do? How does von Stalhein react to Biggles having such concrete evidence of how much von Stalhein has—for years!--cared for him?
* Similarly, von Stalhein protecting or rescuing Biggles even in the era while they're still enemies: I'm very into it. What happens if he finds a very injured Biggles who needs help?
* In some perilous situation when it's extremely clear that he's about to die, von Stalhein--as behooves someone as naturally dramatic as he is--admits his feelings to Biggles. (Maybe when he's not even able to see Biggles's reaction?) Fortunately/unfortunately, he lives, and Biggles has to sort things out before a severely embarrassed von Stalhein can disappear on him.
* Time loops! Maybe von Stalhein is trapped in one, and he has to turn to Biggles and Co. for help because Biggles is one of the few people who will a) believe him and b) treat this as a totally solvable problem? Does he initially think the loop will finally let him get the edge on Biggles in some case, but soon discover that victory over Biggles—especially if Biggles dies in the process—isn't actually what he wants at all? Does he let himself try out defection or sleeping with Biggles in any of the loops, or does he deliberately keep himself from it because it would feel too real? Is the whole time loop about fixing Biggles's death?
* Post-Looks Back Biggles/EvS, where they only begin a relationship once they're older. Bittersweetness, tenderness? Lots of sex because they want to make up for lost time? I'd love to see characterization- and romance-via-porn—things like kink discovery, their first time in general, or first times like "first time having sex after Biggles returns from a mission battered and bruised" or "first time having sex in the morning after one of them actually slept over the night before." I just love seeing them exquisitely gone on each other.
* After years of resisting Biggles's advice, von Stalhein finds it satisfying to just let go and trust him to take the lead on occasion, either in the field or in bed. And for Biggles, it's exhilarating to have such obvious evidence that von Stalhein trusts him and will actually follow his lead …. I seriously love them both enjoying a kind of mutual loyalty kink, whether that's in a gen or a shippy (and potentially kinky) sense.
* Post-Sakhalin, Biggles works on convincing von Stalhein that things don't have to get actively hellish before he can ask for, get, or deserve help. Give me von Stalhein trying to power through illness or exhaustion and Biggles putting his foot down.
* Outsider POV on their relationship from, say, a regular server of theirs at the restaurant they habitually go to.
* Temporary time travel where post-Hatchet/Looks Back von Stalhein suddenly wakes up in Zabala right when Brunow is about to arrive. I'd love to see him interacting with young Biggles—and probably having it strike him just how young Biggles is—and trying to decide what to do and where his loyalties are now that his personal and professional impulses are so sharply divided. (Is he in a relationship with Biggles in the present day?) I do want him to get back to his own time and his own Biggles at the end, but I'd love to see him visit and change things for the better for a different timeline's von Stalhein. Does he leave himself a note?
* Any kind of hurt/comfort, from the extreme to the mild, with any of them as the hurt party—or mutually hurt! I love people needing to sacrifice themselves for each other to some extent, as well as things like sidelining their injuries to focus on the mission while the other person worries about them. Getting tortured in front of each other, dealing with hallucinations or delusions …. I really love every kind of h/c, and you cannot go wrong here.
Algy Lacey & Erich von Stalhein
* Post-Hatchet/Looks Back, Algy is reluctantly won over—at least a little bit—by von Stalhein doing something selfless or caretaker-y for Biggles? In general, I have a huge weakness for Algy gradually and much to his consternation deciding that von Stalhein at least passes the "is indeed thoroughly devoted to Biggles" test, especially if von Stalhein gets whumped in the process.
* Sort of a branch of the above—Biggles, Bertie, and Ginger are in danger, and Algy and von Stalhein have to work together to rescue them. Or maybe they're seriously injured, while Algy and von Stalhein are relatively unscathed? I would love to see them having to share some caretaking duties, particularly if they're getting exhausted and gradually in worse and worse shape themselves in the process. Give me all the "lost in the desert and splitting their water supply predominantly between the sick/hurt members of the party and then bickering over which of them should take the first drink" and "neither of us is getting enough sleep because we need to stand guard in shifts, also: I hate you, also: use my jacket as a pillow" and anything else in that vein.
* Post-Hatchet/Looks Back, Algy and EvS have to go undercover together for some reason, maybe with Algy posing as handler for their defector spy? Forced proximity through mutual danger produces ample irritation but also some understanding and respect and potentially even reluctant liking? Do they wind up getting protective of each other?
* A freak mystical accident/understood but rare phenomenon/science experiment leaves Algy and von Stalhein with the world's most unwanted soulbond. Suddenly they have a window into each other's emotions and inner selves, whether they like it or not, and a prickly warming-up begins even as they work to get this undone immediately. (If you want to include ships, I'm also all for Algy being able to sense von Stalhein being in love with Biggles and/or von Stalhein sensing Algy being in love with Ginger.)
* The two of them are captured or stranded together and have to help each other survive/endure/escape?
* Post-Hatchet/Looks Back: the first time Algy discovers to his horror that he accidentally just had an enjoyable solo interaction with von Stalhein. Maybe they stumble across a shared interest that no one else they know is into, like a semi-obscure novel or historical period, and get to talking about it while everyone else watches with a combination of fond amusement and incredulity?
Ginger Hebblethwaite/Algy Lacey
* Established relationship sex under various hot-sweet-funny domestic contexts, like sleepy sex, morning sex, sex when one of them is in a bad temper over being injured (and maybe has more limited pain-free movement than usual), first time back together again after having been separated for a while, etc.
* Algy is trying to bottle up his feelings, which works until Ginger gets hurt protecting or rescuing him, whereupon he can't handle Ginger having gotten hurt/almost died on his account. See also: Ginger having no idea why Algy is so upset about this and then figuring it out and being delighted. I also love the idea of physically hurt Ginger being very tender with severely emotionally rattled Algy because he can see that Algy is far more shaken up than he is.
* Any tender hurt/comfort, either as the tipping point of their relationship, a catalyst for one of them realizing or finally acknowledging feelings, or just something loving set after they're already together.
* One of them needs to flirt with/charm someone for the sake of the job, and this either sets off a fun, mutually enjoyable bit of possessiveness (if they're already together) or triggers a feelings realization. "He's flirting with him … he could flirt with me! That would be so much better!" I also love enthusiastically possessive sex with one or both of them enjoying leaving covert (or not-so-covert) bruises or love-bites as a kind of TAKEN sign. (Poor Biggles has to contend with occasionally sitting down to breakfast and seeing his slightly blushing flatmates with hickeys.)
* A first kiss. Does it escalate from mutual teasing, sort of friendly, plausibly deniable daring that then turns magnificently, openly real? Is it an "I'm so glad you're still alive" kiss?
* First-time sex under non-ideal circumstances—they haven't even admitted feelings or attraction, and all of a sudden there's sex pollen affecting one or both of them?
* One of them ropes Biggles and/or Bertie into helping him choose a birthday gift or small anniversary token for the other, especially if it's the first such occasion since they've gotten together and it hasn't yet become 100% clear how explicitly romantic they're going to be.
* Drunken confessions of feelings! Before they ever hook up? After they've been hooking up for a while but haven't decided what it all means?
* Anything where they've been together for years but are still thoroughly besotted with each other—just all kinds of mutual enjoyment, mutual attraction, warmth, etc.
* Algy surprises Ginger by renting out a private screening room for their own private picture show. Not all the movies get watched with 100% attention.
* One of them temporarily loses his voice, but luckily, the other is very good at understanding him via gestures, facial expressions, miming, etc. Maybe they're so good at understanding each other because they're already in a relationship, or maybe they haven't confessed any feelings yet and the one without the voice eventually has to come up with a non-verbal demonstration for something that they'd been having trouble talking about anyway.
* One of them is in an unusually foul mood for whatever reason, and the other goes to considerable effort to make him feel better—efforts eventually rewarded with a blowjob, perhaps?
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth & Algy Lacey
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth/Algy Lacey
* Mutually supporting each other, especially providing backup for each other's frayed nerves, each insisting or contriving to make sure the other gets some rest or recuperates properly, etc. I just really love seeing their closeness and loyalty in action with them automatically and effortlessly backing each other up. Does Algy have a particularly good sense of when Biggles really needs a break?
* WWI-era: They get stuck behind enemy lines and wind up cuddling/huddling for warmth and maybe having an intimate shippy moment, whether it's sex or just something sweet like a kiss on the nape of the neck. Just generally being cold and grubby and on edge and finding comfort in each other, whether it's companionable, sexual, or both.
* I love them going out for a picnic at the start of Black Peril and would love to see more of the two of them just taking adorable little jaunts together. Maybe one of them finds a place first and likes showing it to the other? Have they been having friendly, laid-back sex for a while and one of them wants to finally broach the subject of feelings with a little bit of a special occasion to help things along?
* Established relationship: they would like to have an actual romantic moment, but all their adventures and mishaps keep getting in the way, so they just have to roll with it and improvise, which they do very well anyway.
* One of them has to torture the other while they're undercover, and delicious angst ensues.
* Biggles gets so mentally/emotionally frayed by WWI. I'd love to see him and Algy putting the pieces back together, or starting to—just quiet looking out for each other, maybe some peaceful traveling, and generally trying to see what their lives are going to look like now that the war is over, with bonus "consoling someone who's waking up sweat-soaked and screaming in the middle of a nightmare" and "dealing with 'I thought I'd be dead by now' recklessness."
* Cozy, comfortable friends-with-benefits that stays that way, where they're just ultra-close for decades and occasionally that translates into sex, but occasionally it doesn't. I really like seeing them just being generally companionable and snarky with each other and having casual, affectionate sex from time to time because they're bored, because one of them needs a handjob or a blowjob as a distraction from a difficult post-injury recovery, or just because they happen to be in the mood.
* Someone threatens Algy to get at Biggles, which is a major mistake on their part. Major. I love rescues, h/c, "thank God I found you," worry, protectiveness, and rampages of rescue/revenge. I'm also very fond of Algy being an enormous thorn in his kidnappers' sides because he keeps almost escaping on his own, snarking at them, sabotaging them, etc.
* Algy gets whumped so hard in Biggles in the Terai, and he does not get enough canonical comfort for it! I would love post-Terai fics that address all his physical injuries and the considerable mental and emotional stress he goes through. I would also love anything dealing with Biggles thinking Algy is dead—I want all the angst and agony of him being half-convinced that he's only going to the Terai to retrieve Algy's body.
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth & Ginger Hebblethwaite & Algy Lacey & Bertie Lissie
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth & Ginger Hebblethwaite & Algy Lacey & Bertie Lissie & Erich von Stalhein
* I love team-fic and just getting to see the ensemble in action and working together, in either a whole canon-typical adventure or just a sliver of one—either would be fantastic. I love competence porn, teamwork, mutual trust and loyalty, humor, and everyone getting a chance to demonstrate their particular skills. Anything in that vein would thoroughly delight me.
* This is such a great group for AUs or sudden, wild changes of setting or genre, so if you want to send them all to the future and let them fly spaceships, send them all to the past and have them fight and/or tame dinosaurs, reimagine them as a pack of werewolves in an urban fantasy world, give them all superpowers, have them investigate haunted houses … GO FOR IT.
* I love any situation where one of them is in serious peril and the others all have to rally around for a rescue or even just to fret about what's happened. Johns loves presumed dead, and so do I, so if you want to have literally any of them presumed dead and all the others stunned and dealing with grief before they're incredibly relieved, that would be great. Also, any kind of hurt/comfort with any of them as the hurt party! I just want love to see them taking care of each other.
* With von Stalhein in the mix specifically, I really love everything with him gradually becoming part of the team in his own right instead of just Biggles's favorite German spy. Maybe he works with the others to rescue an imperiled Biggles? Whumping him in the process is definitely encouraged. The usual team is all captured, and he gets extremely battered and exhausted in the process of rescuing them and then gets some TLC?
* Again, specifically with von Stalhein there: I'd love to see Algy, Ginger, and/or Bertie getting defensive of von Stalhein in a post-Hatchet/Looks Back. Maybe he's getting flak from British Intelligence officers or they all run afoul of some of his former Soviet handlers. Maybe they're just on a mission together and they wind up covering, protecting, or rescuing him. (For this prompt, it's okay if Biggles only appears in spirit.)
A Civil Contract - Georgette Heyer
Jenny Chawleigh/Adam Deveril
* Marriage of convenience is a pretty bulletproof trope for me, and I love the way these two gradually settle into greater intimacy, understanding, and appreciation in the novel. Any little samples of that journey would be excellent, especially with Adam growing to appreciate Jenny or slowly discovering he finds her more attractive.
* Their wedding night has always really intrigued me. Please give me all the awkward, bad, uncomfortable sex that they dutifully have and even dutifully try to make good--inasmuch as they're aware of how to do that, which might be debatable. It would also be great to see them gradually sexually thawing to each other, with maybe that thaw working alongside and/or facilitating emotional closeness. Or maybe sometimes what's happening in bed gets in the way of what's happening outside of it?
* I actually really like marriages of convenience that are loving but not super romantic, so I'd love to see these two settled into happy, long-running domesticity, being really comfortable with each other and in love… just in a low-key kind of way. Basically, any old married couple tropes you can think of would work here for me. And I also, conversely, have a huge soft spot for Adam developing a more romantic appreciation of Jenny--in addition to Adam/Jenny, I also ship Jenny/getting everything she ever wanted, so "Adam realizes he's officially fallen in love with his wife" or "Adam makes a genuinely romantic gesture" or "Jenny realizes the depths of Adam's feelings" would all delight me.
* Any teamwork! The two of them acting together and supporting each other or dealing with a crisis--maybe they're hosting a house party that's going horribly wrong? Maybe a family member or a friend is having some kind of dramatic Heyer-style problem? (I love the whole supporting cast and would be happy to see any of them again.) Maybe they're older and Giles is starring in his own frivolous Regency romance and his parents have to contend with it? Or maybe there's an actual serious crisis, like a local epidemic or a fire, and they get to be competent and warm and efficient and The Best Partners?
The Long Walk - Richard Bachman
Ray Garraty/Peter McVries
* Garraty wins and gets the Prize—and he asks to have McVries brought back to life. There is some institutional-but-eldritch process that leads to an eerily revived McVries, but being brought back by a dystopian police state is non-ideal, and McVries Comes Back Wrong. I love this both for h/c and milder angst—maybe McVries sleepwalks every night or has memory gaps or trouble feeling any physical sensation—and darker and more tragic possibilities—he's back, but he needs fresh blood to live (either Garraty's or someone else's), or he's actually still decaying and only back for a short time. Maybe he has destructive murder blackouts. Maybe the Major uses him as a weapon. Whatever poignant, dark, or tragic thing you want to do with this, I'm here for it. (Don't worry about this touching on the necrophilia DNW; as long as McVries is not just a corpse without consciousness, we're good.)
* The Walk gets interrupted in some way (protests or an uprising, a weather event, chaos when the Major has a sudden aneurysm, whatever) and Garraty and McVries manage to get away. I'd love to see them fleeing, hiding out, and trying to stay off the grid. Do they find people who can help them, or do they have to go it alone? If it's some kind of massive upheaval and the whole country changes, are they unwilling celebrities in the aftermath?
* What if only Garraty had done the Walk? What happens if he and McVries only meet up later in life, with Garraty as an incredibly damaged, traumatized Long Walk winner? What would their connection look like under these very different circumstances? (If you want to do a very tropey scenario where Long Walk winner Garraty falls in love with sex worker McVries, I am totally into it.) Can this McVries help Garraty heal at all?
* AU where their world takes a different approach to its distracting-the-populace death competitions. Maybe the boys all get stranded in an isolated location with few-to-no resources and the last man standing wins? Maybe it's gladiatorial combat, with awkward amounts of time to tragically get to know each other between fights or melees? I would also be good with a Walk in a different kind of setting or in different weather—subject them to snowstorms or heat waves or having to walk through a bunch of fire ants, if you like. Just do bad things to them and let them care about each other throughout.
* AU where they meet before canon and things have a chance to go differently. Maybe they meet right before the deadline for dropping out, and they wind up both deciding to do that? Maybe because something shippy or otherwise intimate happens between them? What's it like to build a relationship or friendship in the shadow of the fact that the two of you both almost made a horrible, deadly choice? I'm also good with sadder, more canon-compliant versions of this—they have a positive encounter with each other but go on the Walk anyway? They meet each other but don't talk about the Walk, so each is surprised to see the other there? The encounter makes one of them choose to drop out, but the other still goes ahead? How does the Walk go if that happens?
* Post-canon encounters where McVries is either a ghost or a hallucination. (Maybe even Garraty doesn't know for sure.) Conversations, ghostly assistance, dream sex, company, uncertainty about what's real and what's not ….
Poirot - Agatha Christie
Dr. Carl Bessner/Ferguson | Lord Dawlish/Cornelia Robson
* Post-Death on the Nile, Cornelia and Dr. Bessner are married and ready to live happily and practically ever after, but they didn't expect that Ferguson would stay in touch. Maybe he's as opinionated and judgmental as ever, but it's easier to deal with him now that they're a set pair and he's the lonely hypocritical socialist aristocrat who is hanging around them like a lovesick puppy. They see him a couple times out of bemused (maybe even slightly annoyed) nostalgia, but then they find themselves actually … getting to like him? I'm here for all the weird, accidentally cozy domesticity of Ferguson hanging around all the time because he doesn't feel at home anywhere else, with OT3 shippiness starting to creep in.
* One night, Ferguson's visiting Bessner and Cornelia, and he has a few too many drinks. While they're pouring him into bed, he impulsively kisses Cornelia—well, they knew he had feelings for her, even if they might have thought he'd moved on. But then he kisses Bessner too. Now everyone has to figure out what they want to do about this ….
* Ferguson starts becoming a kinder person and putting his ideals into practice instead of just acerbic comments, and his gradual improvement is making Cornelia and Bessner warm towards him.
* Pining where Ferguson is deeply, besottedly into them but thinks that they couldn't possibly reciprocate because Cornelia is very upright and would never take another lover, and Dr. Bessner is traditional and probably remembers all the bad things Ferguson said about him …. Maybe they even start having sex, but he keeps thinking he's just their bit on the side, but eventually he finds out that the feelings are mutual.
* Outsider POV fic where either Lord Dawlish's neighbors are bewildered by the relatively plain German doctor and his wife that Dawlish keeps bringing around—who seem perfectly at home on his property!--or the Bessners' neighbors slowly working out exactly who Ferguson is even if they can't figure out what on earth he's doing there.
* Porn! I can see both Dr. Bessner and Cornelia liking to give orders for other people's own good, and Ferguson is someone who, if you scratch the surface, could be very eager to please the few people he actually cares about. Casual D/s with some commands and maybe a bit of bondage? Cornelia getting cunnilingus from both her husband and her lover? Bessner testing both Cornelia and Ferguson's reaction times and erogenous zones FOR SCIENCE?
Jacqueline de Bellefort/Linnet Doyle
* Anything darkly bittersweet and canon-compliant, where the shadow of Simon and accompanying doom hangs over everything. What were the earlier, happier days of their friendship like? Did their friendship sometimes include casual sex that they either minimized or didn't talk about? How would Jackie's passionate intensity and Linnet's selfishness and destructive "I know what's best" confidence manifest if they had a relationship with each other?
* AU where Linnet doesn't suddenly fall for Simon but for Jackie, and Simon wants Jackie to pursue her until Linnet remakes her will to leave Jackie everything? Maybe Jackie winds up genuinely loving Linnet more than Simon and scuppering the plan completely, and she and Linnet build a life together that may or may not ever involve mentioning the original murder idea. Maybe Jackie is prepared to go through with it, no matter how awful it is, but she has a hard time living with the aftermath. (I'll also take a No Homophobia AU where Linnet and Jackie can actually get married, and Simon has to pretend to be their stalker.) I don't even need a resolution—I would be just as happy with a dark snippet of Jackie/Linnet with Linnet not knowing the whole story and with Jackie herself uncertain of what's going to happen.
* AU where Jackie decides she can't go through with the plan after all, and she takes Poirot's warning and doesn't follow Simon and Linnet onto the boat. Maybe she sends an anonymous letter warning Linnet about her husband. Linnet might not believe it at the time, but then Simon dies trying to smuggle a cobra into a bed, paving the way for Jackie and Linnet to reunite as a troubled couple with genuine feelings but the world's weirdest history.
* Jealous, bitter, guilty, fraught hatesex during the stage where Linnet is slowly—she thinks—stealing Simon away from Jackie?
* I like where Poirot points out to Linnet that there must have been a moment when she felt herself falling for Simon and first trying to attract him and she chose to give into it. What if there had been an earlier moment in her life when she'd felt that with Jackie, and—because it was the 1930s—she did stifle the urge? AU where she didn't, and they had a full-blown affair/relationship that actually worked out? Alternate version of the Nile cruise where they're just there on their own holiday, enjoying the scenery with no idea that things could have unfolded some other way?
* Peggy Sue fic! Jackie shoots herself at the end of the novel … and wakes up back when she first came to ask Linnet to do her a favor and hire Simon, and she decides to make things turn out differently this time ….
Time Travelers Quartet - Caroline B. Cooney
Devonny Stratton/Lord Hugh-David Winden
Bonus like: Devonny calling him Winnie.
* Devonny demands the right to go on any of Hugh-David's trips abroad, and he agrees, so I'd love to see some of those--I just want to see them exploring the world together and having adventures. Do they someday pay for Flossie and Gianni to meet them in Italy? Does Devonny get to venture to Egypt to see Strat again and introduce him to her new husband?
* Devonny's business that Hugh-David will support and not interfere with! (Even if he's still a little flabbergasted at the idea.) I totally love future businesswoman Devonny and the idea of her going on to become a powerhouse in her own right, and I love the idea of Hugh-David, as the novel says, loving her for her strength and appreciating her breaking through these kinds of barriers.
* Anything with the two of them getting to really know each other, before or after the wedding. Hugh-David's had some time to grow up in Devonny's absence, and she's aware of how he's changed, but they're still relative strangers to each other. How does the remainder of the wedding planning go? When does mutual attraction start to factor into things? What's the wedding night like? What do they wind up liking about each other? How does Devonny get used to England? What do they do with the crumbling Winden estates? I'd just love to see any getting-to-know-you conversations or events, including ones where one of them starts off with a facade that then collapses.
* Time intervenes again, this time sending Devonny and Hugh-David off on their own shared adventure into the past or future--a journey in which Devonny is obviously the more experienced traveler. Do they go to the 1990s again? Ancient Egypt? Or to somewhere entirely new in the series, into the English past or our present or some kind of far-future or space opera scenario? I'd just adore seeing the two of them as fish out of water together, trying to do what's right and figure out how to get home (or, for that matter, how to settle down quite happily in whatever new time period they land in).
Worrals Series - W. E. Johns
Betty "Frecks" Lovell/Joan "Worrals" Worralson
Fandom-specific DNW: Canon- or period-typical racism.
* Anything that's "canon-typical but with actual Worrals/Frecks" would absolutely delight me—casefic or snippets of casefic, adventures, tense undercover operations, Nazi-fighting, flying, etc. are all delightful and encouraged.
* The planned mission in Worrals on the War-Path goes off without a hitch, leading to Worrals, Frecks, Lucien, and Raoul killing a lot of time up in the caves—enough time for Worrals and Frecks to work out that there's an actual romance between Lucien and Raoul, which sparks a realization about how they feel about each other and what they really want. Maybe it's not a possibility they've ever really encountered before—I always love the trope of casual or low-key m/m or f/f relationships being relatively common and accepted in boarding schools but basically treated as "kid's stuff" people are supposed to grow out of once they're in the wider world … but here they are, not growing out of it at all and suddenly confronted with the notion that they could make a life together.
* Worrals and Frecks need to go undercover in a demimonde lesbian club, which leads to the requisite efforts to maintain their cover and, of course, all the feelings that spill over ….
* Survival scenarios like being stranded together in the desert or in a forest in the middle of the winter (where they'll have to share body heat to fight off hypothermia). I love the intimacy and intensity of these kinds of scenarios and also the competence kink and hurt/comfort, plus the relief of finally being safe and comfortable again.
* All kinds of "canon but with more science fiction and fantasy shenanigans" stories. Worrals and Frecks deal with an alien arrival … or an alien invasion. Worrals and Frecks get superpowers. They get turned into werewolves. They go to Narnia. They fly through a mysterious shimmer in the sky and wind up in the future (near-future or far-future) or in prehistoric times. They're forced into gladiatorial combat.
* Bed-sharing! I love that we got canonical bed-sharing in Worrals Flies Again, but I want all the iddy focus on the bed-sharing and "there was only one bed," complete with accidental cuddling, awareness of the other person close in the dark, etc.
* Worrals and Frecks practice hand-to-hand fighting with each other, which leads to amped-up sexual tension, sexy examination of bruises, intimate grappling, low-key hurt/comfort, strength kink, competence kink, fighting leads to sex ….
* Frecks suddenly finds herself actually caring about her freckles once she realizes she's attracted to Worrals, so she tries the lemon juice method after all, much to Worrals's confusion. Once the truth comes out, Worrals makes it exceptionally clear that she's very into Frecks and her freckles, thank you very much.
* Everyone basically knows that Frecks is Worrals's right hand and perpetual sidekick, and that if you want Worrals, you're going to get Frecks as well. So, uh … AU where Frecks is sort of assigned to Worrals as a kind of assistant/"comfort" aide who openly provides sexual favors and emotional relief as well as backup? I just think it would be amazing to see badass Worrals openly playing with her girlfriend's hair and Frecks sort of unnerving everyone by also being badass and fighting off Nazis when clearly she's just supposed to be adorable and endearing.
Re-Animator
Daniel Cain/Herbert West
* More horror is always enthusiastically welcome. They awaken or otherwise attract the attention of some kind of eldritch entity? They're snowbound in a haunted hotel? Herbert dies at the end of the first movie but sporadically makes ghostly appearances in Dan's life to protect him, bug him about working on the reagent, and just generally be in love with him? Chased and hurt by monsters and/or zombies or trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse? Herbert conquers death via chemically engineered vampirism?
* I love the idea that Herbert succumbs to Hill's hypnosis with particular ease, which of course would disconcert him. Maybe he asks Dan to hypnotize him a few times so he can get become more adept at breaking free of that kind of control, and they wind up getting really into it was a kind of unconventional (and deeply ill-advised) D/s and/or consensual somnophilia-adjacent thing? I just really like the idea of Herbert finding that he inexplicably likes being temporarily under Dan's control and trying to justify this in very scientific terms while Dan is also grappling with it from his side, liking the protectiveness but sort of being afraid of all the power? Relatedly, I am also 100% down for this as a kind of weird trauma recovery with Hill having previously nonconned a hypnotized Herbert. (I am in general very fond of non-Dan dudes sexually menacing Herbert West, so that's always fine to include.)
* Any and all hurt/comfort, with either hurt, blended with any of the above prompts or on their own. Maybe one of them gets hypnotized/mind-controlled into hurting the other, resulting in a heaping helping of angst with the h/c? Maybe one of them has to perform emergency surgery on the other without any anesthesia? One of them hurt protecting the other? Injured hands mean the other requires assistance? Intense levels of protectiveness? Captured and experimented on by scientists who make Herbert look principled and reasonable in comparison? H/c-infused body horror of Herbert's experiments making them werewolves or giving them wings? Delirium or some kind of altered state makes Herbert irrationally convinced that Dan is an imposter, and Dan has to try to prove his identity and maybe keep Herbert calm until whatever's affecting him can wear off?
* Very weird slices of domestic life--in Peru, in the Bride of Re-Animator mortuary, or anywhere else. Scrambling eggs on one burner while reagent bubbles on another! Really bizarre Christmases with Herbert West! Dan trying to give him a birthday present, much to Herbert's confusion! Lazy morning sex!
* Dan attempts to have a semi-normal night out with Herbert. Unfortunately, this leads to the two of them fighting reanimated corpses in a gay bar. Bonus points if they actually do manage a genuinely romantic moment before the night's over.
* Herbert designs an unsettling replica of himself who proves to have an unnerving and all-too-revealing fixation on Dan.
* Herbert temporarily gets amnesia, and Dan is faced with the extremely weird and awkward task of having to explain Herbert to himself. I'd also just love a glimpse of what a "blank" Herbert's personality is like without his specific memories and how he reacts to Dan, and Dan maybe guiltily having a soft spot for a more emotionally open amnesiac Herbert but also being eager to get his Herbert back …. Or if Dan gets amnesia, how on earth would Herbert explain him to himself? What would be Herbert's reaction to a Dan stripped of his Dan-ness? Does Herbert technically think this is a good opportunity to reprogram Dan's moral compass, but when push comes to shove, he's revolted by the idea going through with it?
Evil
David Acosta & Kristen Bouchard & Ben Shakir
David Acosta/Kristen Bouchard/Ben Shakir
* I'd love to see them investigating some kind of horror—a case, a snippet of a case, or the aftermath of one. Some things I especially like for them: Haunted houses and hotels. Creepy small towns with peculiar rituals where everyone is friendly but strangers tend to disappear. Viral videos and creepypasta with suspicious origins. Past cases come back in a horrible fashion, like a return of the nurse from Room 320. Nightmares and nightmare-sharing. Dark prophetic dreams. Character Has the Creeping Sensation Things Are No Longer Real. Techno-horror. Possessed technology. The fabric of reality is thinner than we thought, and there are strange things underneath. Terrifying time loops. Creepy forests and deserts. Creepy submarines. Isolated settings: snowbound, stuck in a torrential downpour, etc. Haunted dolls. Haunted ventriloquist dummies.
* One of them experiences some kind of horror in their off-hours and doesn't know how to process it alone. Luckily, they don't have to. <3 I'd love to see them all rallying around whichever one is affected and terrified and just generally providing support.
* The three of them wind up soulbonded, either accidentally or intentionally. Maybe soulbonds are the weird thing in one of their cases, and they wind up "testing" whether or not they're real and getting very surprised by the results … and potentially even more surprised when they don't want to get rid of the connection once they've gotten used to it? I'd love to see them sharing each other's emotions and being really in-tune with each other and maybe needing proximity/touch/sex.
* Zombie apocalypse or any other huge, world-shattering event that leaves the characters clinging to each other as all they have left in a terrifying and risky world. Maybe they're traveling around, protecting each other and their families, and trying to do good where they can? (Post-apocalyptic work for assessors?)
* All the speed-bumps and pining and little romantic gestures that come with transitioning a three-person friendship to a romance that's made even more complicated by family and religion and maybe their combined uncertainty that this is something they could realistically do and have it work out. Plus, there's a lot of potential for different insecurities that they could be comforted for, like David feeling awkward about Ben being closer with the girls (at least at first) or Ben feeling like the David/Kristen relationship is more intense and therefore more "real" than whatever they have with him.
* In addition to regular gen and regular ship, I also really love weird, smarm-like, boundary-blurring stories for the three of them, where none of them are completely clear on exactly how they'd define their relationship and they have plausible deniability that lets Kristen slip into this while she's still married and lets David have this kind of closeness without technically breaking his vows.
* Reddit: I just feel like since it's canonical that Ben keeps getting into fights with people on the internet, "Ben's Reddit Adventures" have fantastic potential—and we've also seen David and Kristen dealing with priesthood and motherhood concerns online, so basically, the three of them should just try to run their problems and opinions by the internet and see what happens, especially since the details are so incredibly weird and specific that I feel like people would be fascinated and/or think they're making it all up. Plus, putting together touching relationship details through what they're posting on Reddit? Adorable.
* Any kind of hurt/comfort, either for canonical hurts or invented ones. All three of them face such great physical and emotional whump in the episodes, and I love it, but I'd also love to see the comfort in the aftermath of some of the things they've had to deal with. I also love things like two of them thinking the third is dead (or one of them alone and thinking the other two are dead), "hurt/sick character isn't quite lucid," them risking themselves for each other, stranded in the wilderness or an isolated and hopeless setting/situation, washing hurt character's hair/helping them bathe, co-sleeping and dealing with nightmares and night terrors, and having tender sex because of injuries.
I have gifts enabled, and treats are very welcome!
