I loved even getting a chance to write about these characters, so I hope the below is helpful, but feel free to strip the letter for parts and go in your own direction. I’ve got a pretty flexible approach to treats and tricks, so don’t worry about a darker/more bittersweet treat or a comparatively optimistic trick: I’m good with it all. I’d love any up-close look at Amma--just her fucked-up, vulnerable, murderous perspective on her relationship with Adora, on her jealousies, on her victims, on Camille. AU where Evelyn or Jake kills Noah Cross and Evelyn is able to escape with Katherine? I’d just love to see any moment of peace or healing or connection between them. Evelyn getting to relax on a beach somewhere or putting in the bittersweet work of building a new identity? A developing friendship with Jake, who might help her stay on the run? Future-fic where Evelyn gets involved in another mystery, this time as an active investigator able to help someone else? Evelyn Mulwray, private eye?
The Final Girls - Max Cartwright, Vicki, Gertie
Fic - Trick
Caught in an endless stream of horror sequels (including particularly awful direct-to-video ones) and slowly going mad from it, developing intense callousness and amazingly good fighting skills, dying repeatedly and not always being sure if they’re going to come back, trying to figure out what kind of sex they’re allowed to have without summoning the killer, Nancy comes back wrong, occasionally killing off characters themselves, Groundhog Day loop, unwanted immortality, endless riffing off slasher film conventions. I like all the nominated characters and would be happy to see them and I’m good with all ships except Max/Nancy and Gertie/Duncan.
The Hateful Eight - Marquis Warren, Chris Mannix

All the porn and all the even vaguely believable happiness, casual/unnegotiated BDSM with all kinds of kink, bathing together, stitching each other up, sleeping in the same bed, on the road together, not actually talking about feelings while absolutely talking about feelings, loyalty kink, rescues, blowjobs, cuddling for warmth, praise kink. Peggy Sue AU where one of them wakes up years in his own past--does Mannix have a little bit of a change of heart that leads to him going on much earlier to join up with Warren? Mannix's dad is still alive and they wind up having to kill him? Serious whump/hurt/comfort where one of them has a bounty on his head (understandably) and gets captured by a John Ruth bring-them-in-alive type and they have to work out a rescue or escape under miserable circumstances? Or maybe they run into someone with a well-earned vendetta against one of them--I'm all for testing the loyalty kink with one of them having to seemingly abandon the other or being forced to hurt the other. The two of them tracking down a bounty that turns out to be a supernatural creature with dangerous powers?
Marvel Cinematic Universe - Erik Killmonger, Heimdall, Valkyrie
Fic - Treat
Erik Killmonger
This kind of straddles the line between trick and treat, but I will take absolutely all the Killmonger Wins AUs, where Erik holds the throne of Wakanda and succeeds at a radical alteration of the world order, bringing chaos and violence and justice all at once, and then having to deal with the day-to-day responsibilities of a throne. He was prepared for the war, but how would he deal with what came afterwards? I’d also just love some looks at him experiencing Wakandan culture--bonus worldbuilding! Arranged marriage? And if this is all happening because T’Challa died in the original fall, what is N’Jadaka’s relationship with Okoye like after that? With M’Baku? With Shuri and Ramonda? Or what if he had been brought to Wakanda as a kid and had gotten to be raised alongside T’Challa and Shuri? I’d love to see the three of them bonding even as Erik is trying to deal with his father’s death and/or his subtle cultural upheaval. More of Erik in the afterlife/dream world? What if his family had found him, but not before all his CIA training and after his anger had had a chance to set in, and he'd come to Wakanda on edge and ready to strike out, only to find himself being confusingly, slowly brought into the royal family?
Heimdall
I’d love anything about how Heimdall experiences his powers--their gifts, their limitations, their costs, etc. His long history with Asgard--did he live through the era of conquest, or did he have to deal with a sense of disillusionment after Ragnarok? I ship Heimdall/Thor, Heimdall/Loki, and Heimdall/Valkyrie, and would love any shippy material along those lines, especially on a post-Ragnarok ship and/or during the building of New Asgard. Voyeur-sex, first time fic, pining, stranded together. Loyalty kink, protectiveness, devotion to the throne but willingness to go against it for the larger sake of Asgard. What was it like for him while he was a fugitive? What’s his role in Thor’s new kingdom? What if Thanos had held enough of a grudge against him that he had taken Heimdall captive--or what if he’d just wanted to see about using Heimdall’s powers for himself? Anything with Heimdall and a younger Thor and/or Loki would also be great.
Valkyrie
I ship Val/Loki, Val/Thor, Val/Heimdall, Val/Bruce, Val/Hela, Val/Bruce/Thor… she’s my ultimate little black dress who goes with everything and feel free to put her in these ships or really any ship and give me sex, fraught emotions, sarcasm, stoicism, first times, loyalty, tentative romance, etc. What was her life like on Sakaar before Thor showed up? I’d love to see more of her interacting with the Grandmaster and Topaz. Did she deal primarily in gladiators? Did she ever fight in the ring herself? And she’s the perfect figure to explore pre-reform Asgard, too, and I’d love anything that looked at her before the fall of the Valkyries and Hela’s imprisonment. Valkyrie worldbuilding, life in wartime. What if she had chosen to stay in Asgard afterwards and had gone through the changes and eventually met up with Thor and Loki that way? What is she like in a New Asgard? What's it like for her to possibly be training a new class of Valkyries? If you deal with Infinity War, what is her reaction to all that and how does she try to hold Asgard together? What’s it like for her when she gets reunited with Thor and Bruce? I'm all for her going off on a sworn quest to kill Thanos and somehow restore not only the victims of snap but of the slaughter on the Asgardian ship.
Thoroughbreds - Amanda, Lily

AU where Lily does get sent to Brookmore and Amanda, as a fellow Girl with Severe Behavioral Problems, follows? Codependent roommates with mutual protectiveness? Gothic AU where Tim kills Mark but Mark hangs around as a vengeful ghost and Lily and Amanda have to deal with it? Ambiguous, unsettling hangouts, maybe with pool sex? More weird social norm-breaking moments? Lily secretly getting off a little on Amanda’s comparatively-unwashed scent? Possessiveness and longing? Sex with luxury porn? “Let’s fuck on Mark’s rowing machine!" Future fic where the two of them reunite? Do they have a Heavenly Creatures-style reputation that starts to give them ideas? Barry, Sally, and Gene in summer stock, languid and funny and then tense and terrifying or tragic; I love anything that explores Barry’s relationship with acting and how it relates to his struggle to connect to other people, feel things, and keep secrets. Bad and good performances, and what it costs for him to achieve the good ones. More of Barry’s history with Fuches? I’m really curious about how their relationship developed into the semi-toxic, semi-fond attachment it is in canon, where they can’t stop caring about each other but Fuches can’t stop using him and Barry can’t stop wanting to get away. (Creepy, ambiguously emotionally fraught dubcon welcome here.) AU where Barry deletes his Facebook on time and he and Moss circle each other in an awkward, semi-suspicious detente? Hank’s goofy, gif- and meme-filled attempts to court Barry with babka and the dead bodies of those who would oppose him? (Possibly more of a treat--NoHo Hank is certainly a treat--but there's still murder, so eh.) Snippets of Barry's various hits and bouts of depression?
Twin Peaks - Audrey Horne

Any glimpse of an alternate future for her. I love DEA Agent Audrey--so intrigued by Denise!--or FBI Agent Audrey looking into Blue Rose cases. Private eye, hotel owner, actress, college student getting to experience a broader world--and is it more normal, or still strange, or strange in its normalcy? I love Audrey/Cooper and would be delighted by any get-together fic for them--hurt/comfort after One-Eyed Jack’s turning into something tender and romantic? Flirtation? Pining? Dancing? Virginity loss? Undercover as a couple? It would also be great to see a happier Audrey/Laura AU where Audrey manages to get Laura away from Twin Peaks and BOB--I'd love to see them on the run from a supernatural force, trying to build a life together. I’m also really interested in her relationship with her father and how they might mend the loss of trust between them and how she might deal with the knowledge of his relationship with Laura and everything with One-Eyed Jack’s. Audrey escaping her bleak Return fate, maybe with some of the same arc as Cooper in terms of slowly regaining her memories and coming back to herself?

Dark, hallucinatory Black Lodge experiences or other mysterious encounters with the unknown. Audrey slipping into the decadent, ugly underbelly of Twin Peaks? I don’t like the Final Dossier theory of Audrey having spent all those years institutionalized, but I’d love any supernatural explanation for her confusion and eerie, claustrophobic situation in The Return. She never woke up from her coma and is trapped in a dreamlike state, maybe in a White Room that’s somehow a cousin to the Red Room? Audrey/Laura in that space, surreal and fraught? I love the idea of her being in this kind of kalidoscope of realities and having to find her way through that. Is the Audrey with Charlie a tulpa created by the Doppelcooper, and has her sense of self been split for years, with her really imprisoned somewhere else but catching fleeting glimpses of this other life? What if she’d woken up from her coma and decided to track down Mr. C, who clearly isn’t her Cooper, and she wound up going toe-to-toe with his doppelganger? (I’m fine with including the implied rape here and with Audrey dealing with her feelings about that.) Audrey going all gender-swapped Orpheus and Eurydice and venturing into the Black Lodge to retrieve Cooper before the twenty-five years are up?

So many gorgeous portrait possibilities with so many cool costumes: FBI jacket, suit and badge, glamorous gown, old-fashioned PI get-up. Audrey dancing. Audrey, a cherry pie, and a bunch of knotted cherry stems. Kisses with Cooper or Laura. Any kind of surreal, dark Black Lodge encounter or exploration of the White Room. Audrey confronting a doppelganger of herself, maybe complete with tulpa-style blank face. Audrey faced with multiple Coopers.

He was prepared for the war, but how would he deal with what came afterwards? I’d also just love some looks at him experiencing Wakandan culture--bonus worldbuilding! Arranged marriage? And if this is all happening because T’Challa died in the original fall, what is N’Jadaka’s relationship with Okoye like after that? With M’Baku? With Shuri and Ramonda? Or what if he had been brought to Wakanda as a kid and had gotten to be raised alongside T’Challa and Shuri? I’d love to see the three of them bonding even as Erik is trying to deal with his father’s death and/or his subtle cultural upheaval. More of Erik in the afterlife/dream world? What if his family had found him, but not before all his CIA training and after his anger had had a chance to set in, and he'd come to Wakanda on edge and ready to strike out, only to find himself being confusingly, slowly brought into the royal family?
Heimdall
I’d love anything about how Heimdall experiences his powers--their gifts, their limitations, their costs, etc. His long history with Asgard--did he live through the era of conquest, or did he have to deal with a sense of disillusionment after Ragnarok? I ship Heimdall/Thor, Heimdall/Loki, and Heimdall/Valkyrie, and would love any shippy material along those lines, especially on a post-Ragnarok ship and/or during the building of New Asgard. Voyeur-sex, first time fic, pining, stranded together. Loyalty kink, protectiveness, devotion to the throne but willingness to go against it for the larger sake of Asgard. What was it like for him while he was a fugitive? What’s his role in Thor’s new kingdom? What if Thanos had held enough of a grudge against him that he had taken Heimdall captive--or what if he’d just wanted to see about using Heimdall’s powers for himself? Anything with Heimdall and a younger Thor and/or Loki would also be great.

I ship Val/Loki, Val/Thor, Val/Heimdall, Val/Bruce, Val/Hela, Val/Bruce/Thor… she’s my ultimate little black dress who goes with everything and feel free to put her in these ships or really any ship and give me sex, fraught emotions, sarcasm, stoicism, first times, loyalty, tentative romance, etc. What was her life like on Sakaar before Thor showed up? I’d love to see more of her interacting with the Grandmaster and Topaz. Did she deal primarily in gladiators? Did she ever fight in the ring herself? And she’s the perfect figure to explore pre-reform Asgard, too, and I’d love anything that looked at her before the fall of the Valkyries and Hela’s imprisonment. Valkyrie worldbuilding, life in wartime. What if she had chosen to stay in Asgard afterwards and had gone through the changes and eventually met up with Thor and Loki that way? What is she like in a New Asgard? What's it like for her to possibly be training a new class of Valkyries? If you deal with Infinity War, what is her reaction to all that and how does she try to hold Asgard together? What’s it like for her when she gets reunited with Thor and Bruce? I'm all for her going off on a sworn quest to kill Thanos and somehow restore not only the victims of snap but of the slaughter on the Asgardian ship.

I’m really curious about how their relationship developed into the semi-toxic, semi-fond attachment it is in canon, where they can’t stop caring about each other but Fuches can’t stop using him and Barry can’t stop wanting to get away. (Creepy, ambiguously emotionally fraught dubcon welcome here.) AU where Barry deletes his Facebook on time and he and Moss circle each other in an awkward, semi-suspicious detente? Hank’s goofy, gif- and meme-filled attempts to court Barry with babka and the dead bodies of those who would oppose him? Any glimpse of an alternate future for her. I love DEA Agent Audrey--so intrigued by Denise!--or FBI Agent Audrey looking into Blue Rose cases. Private eye, hotel owner, actress, college student getting to experience a broader world--and is it more normal, or still strange, or strange in its normalcy? I love Audrey/Cooper and would be delighted by any get-together fic for them--hurt/comfort after One-Eyed Jack’s turning into something tender and romantic? Flirtation? Pining? Dancing? Virginity loss? Undercover as a couple? It would also be great to see a happier Audrey/Laura AU where Audrey manages to get Laura away from Twin Peaks and BOB--I'd love to see them on the run from a supernatural force, trying to build a life together. I’m also really interested in her relationship with her father and how they might mend the loss of trust between them and how she might deal with the knowledge of his relationship with Laura and everything with One-Eyed Jack’s. Audrey escaping her bleak Return fate, maybe with some of the same arc as Cooper in terms of slowly regaining her memories and coming back to herself?

Dark, hallucinatory Black Lodge experiences or other mysterious encounters with the unknown. Audrey slipping into the decadent, ugly underbelly of Twin Peaks? I don’t like the Final Dossier theory of Audrey having spent all those years institutionalized, but I’d love any supernatural explanation for her confusion and eerie, claustrophobic situation in The Return. She never woke up from her coma and is trapped in a dreamlike state, maybe in a White Room that’s somehow a cousin to the Red Room? Audrey/Laura in that space, surreal and fraught? I love the idea of her being in this kind of kalidoscope of realities and having to find her way through that. Is the Audrey with Charlie a tulpa created by the Doppelcooper, and has her sense of self been split for years, with her really imprisoned somewhere else but catching fleeting glimpses of this other life? What if she’d woken up from her coma and decided to track down Mr. C, who clearly isn’t her Cooper, and she wound up going toe-to-toe with his doppelganger? (I’m fine with including the implied rape here and with Audrey dealing with her feelings about that.) Audrey going all gender-swapped Orpheus and Eurydice and venturing into the Black Lodge to retrieve Cooper before the twenty-five years are up?
