Dear Yuletide Writer (2018)
Oct. 5th, 2018 04:12 pmDear Yuletide Writer (2018)
Thank you so much for writing for me! Yuletide is my favorite time of year to be a fan--I love the excitement and the generosity of spirit and, obviously, my ability to suddenly find fic for obscure micro-fandoms. I hope you find something here that’s of interest to you, but you’ve already delighted me by wanting to write one of these fandoms at all. ODAO, so feel free to go your own way on this and disregard anything here that’s not helpful to you. And again, thanks, and I hope you have a wonderful Yuletide. If you want to get a general sense of me, I’m scioscribe on Tumblr and on AO3.

Everworld - K. A. Applegate: April O’Brien, Jalil Sherman
I’ve always loved this series. It has such a vivid world full of wonder and horror and sheer ridiculousness--I love the patchwork nature of Everworld and the way the characters can join up with the Vikings to fight the Aztecs and then go off to strike bargains with leprechauns. And I love that the characters are often called upon to make hard choices with no guarantee that they’re going to make the right ones. Everything has a genuine moral weight to it and all the character conflicts feel real--and I especially like that with Jalil and April, who come at the world from such different perspectives but who have a common stability because they’re both so grounded in those perspectives. (I really like Jalil continuing to believe in the usefulness of science and logic even in Everworld and April working all this into her understanding of the world while still keeping her faith.) They all have such a fire-forged friendship by the last book, and I’m really drawn to the thought of all the adventures--grim and fantastic--that they could have.
I’m requesting just April and Jalil because I would be happy with a story centered on just them, but I do love the whole foursome and everyone’s complicated relationships with each other, so if you want to include them, I’d totally love it.
I do ship April/Jalil, if you want to incorporate shippiness into any prompts, and I generally love the us-against-the-world April & Jalil & Christopher & David vibe generally--ride-or-die loyalty complete with free-floating sexual tension.
Prompts
* Any kind of post-canon adventure. I love their travels through Everworld, and if you wanted to set them down in the middle of an unexplored mythology or in any one of the settings we already saw in the series, I would just love to see them dealing with that even just on the practical level of working out how to get food and board and transportation. Stick them into the middle of what’s basically a video game side-quest and I promise I’ll enjoy it. As far as more purposeful adventuring goes, I’d love to see them recruiting for soldiers or acting as spies--and maybe in way over their heads on the latter front. Or do they become heroes-for-hire and get paid by villages to deal with various monsters or rampaging Sennites?
* Horror! One of them dies in Everworld and has to be rescued from one of the underworlds? April winds up as a Persephone parallel, or April and Jalil wind up paralleling Orpheus and Eurydice, at least partly? Lovecraftian geometry and landscapes, which are particularly hard on Jalil, and which have to be escaped? Nightmarish encounters with mythological creatures or figures or with fickle gods and goddesses who casually transform humans into stags or trees.
* Anything that has them stuck in a preexisting mythic story or scenario. I already mentioned Orpheus/Eurydice and Persephone, but I would also kill for them being stuck in a labyrinth as gifts to placate a minotaur or in a situation where someone wants to kill one or both of them for a fair wind or victory in battle. Cassandra curses, curses of the mummy, the Furies. Any dubcon cooperation with a creepy sex ritual--they get sex pollened into it? They’re fully alert but have to cooperate to save their friends? If the ritual is religious as well as magical, how does April deal with having participated, even through coercion, in something that goes against her own beliefs? And how awkward is it for them afterwards, and how does it affect their relationship?
* Jalil and science in Everworld! I’d be totally down for just “five experiments Jalil tried to do in Everworld, and one that actually worked the way it was supposed to,” or something along those lines--I just want to see more of him grappling with Everworld and deducing the rules that control it. Maybe those experiments draw the wrong kind of attention and get the team into trouble--or maybe they make them famous. Do they ever have unpredictable side effects, and are those scary, funny, or both?
* Life in wartime. I really like hurt/comfort and stolen moments of peace and quiet, so one of them fixing the other up after a hard battle or the two of them finding a little oasis to themselves in the middle of all the dirt and blood would be great. What would pass for a romantic gesture under those circumstances? How would they reunite if they’d been separated a long time?
* Everworld future-fic, in any scenario where the Hetwan and the Sennites don’t wind up winning. I really want to see how these characters would grow up under these circumstances, and what their lives in Everworld would look like once the immediate threat was gone. Do they ever regret leaving Earth behind for good? Do they settle in one part of Everworld, or keep traveling? Do they ever improvise a marriage ceremony--maybe after first accidentally getting married according to one of Everworld’s cultures? What are their connections like with the Everworld natives around them? And while I’m not usually into pregnancy fic, I would absolutely make an exception here, because it could be fascinating to see how these two would react to pregnancy and parenthood under these circumstances.
The Hateful Eight: Marquis Warren, Chris Mannix
I love these two murderous assholes and their against-all-odds alliance and gradual fondness for each other. They’re the center of the movie for me, but really, I love it all: the wintry landscape, the focus on the stories and lies we tell and how they relate to history, the tension, the claustrophobia, the costume porn of Warren’s coat, the weight and complications of history and violence, the tragedy…
I ship them and think they have a pretty amazing built-in D/s-style dynamic, so I’ll give some romance/porn prompts. But I’d also love anything with their weird, logic-defying antagonistic friendship. They just have so much potential for never-mind-they-lived post-canon fics, ship or gen: loyalty kink, us-against-the-world, adventures, hurt/comfort. I love the rest of the supporting cast and would be happy to see them in any capacity; I’m also totally down for an optional Django Unchained crossover, if you want to bring those characters into any of these prompts.
Prompts
* Peggy Sue AU where one of them wakes up in his body years in the past? I love time loop/time travel fics, and I’m really intrigued by the possibilities they would have here, especially since their relationship is so unlikely and so built on specific events--what would it be like to have to try to start that over from scratch? And how would they meddle with history if they knew its general course? If it’s Mannix, does this make him have a seemingly sudden change of heart and break away from his family and go look to throw in with Warren? If it’s Warren, what havoc can he get up to with his future knowledge, and does he basically just go and abduct Mannix? I’m very open to bittersweetness if it’s a situation where they were together in the main timeline and then one of them found themselves back years in the past.
* All kinds of hurt/comfort or endangerment! They’re tracking a bounty who gets the upper hand on them, or being tracked by bounty hunters themselves, since they both have a lot of deaths on their heads? They run afoul of a bounty who is actually some kind of supernatural monster? One of them rescuing the other? Loyalty kink, not abandoning the other person even when it makes sense? And all the good stuff: bullet wounds, knife wounds, illness…
* AUs where they met under other circumstances, like during the war? Maybe the Union does manage to lay the blame for those prisoners’ deaths on Warren’s head and he finds himself imprisoned yet again, this time alongside a very talkative Mannix, and the two of them orchestrate a prison break together? Or once Mannix was already the sheriff of Red Rock? Or Warren is tracking Mannix as a bounty when they both wind up getting into trouble and having to work together to get out of it?
* Any scenario where Mannix’s father is still alive and they have to face him--he comes out west and is appalled by the company his son is keeping? I just really like the idea of Mannix being forced to definitively choose Warren over his past and fucked-up ideology, and I like the idea of that being made really dramatic and literal. They have to kill Erskine? Warren decides to prove the hold he has on Mannix, or Mannix decides to really tell off his daddy, with a little bit of exhibitionst sex for Erskine’s benefit?
* Basically any post-canon fic of any stripe--bounty hunting together or being the sheriff and the bounty hunter? Domesticity? Bathing together? Bedsharing? A relationship or a more lasting friendship slowly develops once they’re no longer directly in the line of fire? Unconventional ways of talking about/showing their feelings? Huddling together for warmth? Conning people and having a good time doing it?
* There are so many tropey and supernatural AUs I love for them. Waking up soulbonded after the shootout at Minnie’s? D/s-verse where Mannix is really obviously a sub but hates admitting it and Warren really enjoys flaunting the fact that he’s a dom? Werewolf AU where they survive their wounds because one of them is already a werewolf and therefore super-strong, and then he turns the other one and now they’re reluctantly pack-bonded? Daemons? They are confronted, Cowboys and Aliens-style, with an extraterrestrial invasion in the middle of the Wyoming woods? Warren is hunting down the ghosts of the South and laying them to rest? The two of them get paid to take out monsters plaguing the little towns in the West?
The Leftovers: Nora Durst, Kevin Garvey
I really adore the way the world of The Leftovers just felt saturated with meaning, like everything was full of mystery and the different characters could draw endless interpretations from it and use those to get by, to do good, and to connect with each other. I love the sheer weirdness of a lot of it, especially Kevin’s hotel dreamscape/purgatory in all its forms; I love the post-Departure worldbuilding of Miracle and Nora’s lengthy questionnaire and people trying to stage more disappearances to escape their own identities. I also really like the hallucinations and the serious, sincere way some of the characters approach the idea of living in a time of unpredictable wonders and the way other characters, especially Nora, are much more skeptical and not at all happy about logic seeming to have turned sideways. It’s such a great canon for worldbuilding and filling in the blanks and for things that should be too cracky even for crackfic but are actually extremely moving in context. Anything that captures that vibe would be amazing.
Of the supporting cast, I particularly like Matt, Laurie, Jill, John, Erika, Michael, and ghost-or-hallucination-or-whatever Patti. I would prefer that Meg not appear.
I’m deeply into Nora/Kevin and their reconnection at the end of the series made me melt--they both pine very beautifully and they’re incredibly cute together--so any romantic moments between them in fic would be an awesome bonus.
Prompts
* I’m fascinated by Nora’s story of her journey to the world of the 2% and would love to see any glimpse of that--her slog trying to get the machine constructed for her return, her travels through such a devastated place, more worldbuilding than you could shake a stick at. For this prompt, I would be happy with just Nora appearing, but if you wanted to bring her into the world of visions and surrealism, I’d also love it if she started seeing things too: a version of Kevin following her around through this new landscape, with her unsure whether he’s in her head or not and whether he’s in any way the Kevin she knows. Or what if her way back home hadn’t involved the same tech that got her there but rather something more fantastical than science fictional?
* What if Kevin and Nora’s reunion reactivated a lot of the strangeness in their lives? I’d love to see the two of them dealing with more otherworldly events, like both finding their way into the dream hotel, or another kind of fantastic landscape, at the same time. Or maybe Nora is more sensitive now to places where the barrier between the dimensions is thin and permeable, and so she’s just letting in a lot of weirdness, including things they’ve never dealt with before--additional realities, more special powers, prophetic visions, parallel selves, unnerving and untrustworthy fairy-style lands…
* This is definitely a fandom where I would be very happy with slice-of-life post-canon material--they two of them have a lot of rebuilding and reconnecting to do and a lot of healing, and I would honestly read literal curtainfic for them: I love stories with lots of domestic details when it’s about people reconstructing their lives and delicately coming back to each other/themselves. House restoration porn, maybe with some actual porn thrown in as well? I would also be totally good with quiet, non-splashy wedding-fic: there would be something very bittersweet and lovely about them finally getting to have that moment.
* AU where Nora does come home for Matt’s funeral and she and Kevin reconnect then? Would it be easier or harder? This would also be here coming back to her old life with way more people around--Jill and Tommy and Mary--and the pressure would probably be intense. How would she deal with that? I’m totally good with bitter fights and hurt feelings as long as there’s eventual reconciliation, however complex or tentative.
* Role reversal AU set in the world of the 2%? Nora is the Kevin-like figure who has been lucky enough to have kept her family… but it’s fallen apart anyway; Kevin is devastated by the complete disappearance of his and the guilt he feels about having been having an affair when the Departure happened. I’m really interested in how they might gradually connect with their circumstances being reversed and also with their world having been even more up-ended… and maybe even more open to strangeness? Is Kevin openly acknowledged as something of a prophet or as having special powers? Does Nora attract people in the same way that Jarden did, becoming the unwilling center of theories that staying close to her will keep them safe? What would Kevin’s breakdown look like if there weren’t any real normalcy around him, and how would Nora react to it? (Please feel free to incorporate the handcuffed-sleeping and handcuffed-sex in this scenario.)
Social Creature - Tara Isabella Burton: Any
I was sold on this from “Talented Mr. Ripley homage but with women” and then blown away by the execution. I love all these complicated, entangled fuck-ups and would be happy to see any of them in or out of combination with each other. I’ll cheerfully multi-ship any of them in any combination, if that’s something you’re interested in.
There’s so much I love about this book. I really like the way it uses social media--public performance! Overanalysis of how people interact with your posts! Covering up someone’s murder!--and its through-the-looking-glass vision of an upper-crust art world New York that’s all surreally decadent parties, careless wealth, and hangers-on doing whatever con or hustle they have to do to stick around. I love all the psychological dysfunction--Mimi’s slavish adoration of Lavinia, Lavinia’s manipulation and fucked-up patterns, Louise’s extremely careful negotiation of her image and circumstances, Cordelia’s intense loyalty to her sister and how it’s probably going to be used to paint her as an unreliable witness. I love the slippery identity porn of Louise borrowing Lavinia’s clothes and impersonating her in person or through pictures and texts. I love all the sexual weirdness of Lavinia’s ostensible straightness that still results in exhibitionist sex with Louise and private sex with Mimi and her ostensible “only had sex with one man” self-image that is really “only had vaginal sex with one man.” I love that everyone is just a little bit smarter and a little bit more talented than the people around them tend to think. So as a default, wide-open prompt, anything that draws on any of that would be amazing.
Prompts
* I’m really intrigued by Lavinia and Cordelia’s relationship--they’re both very loyal to each other and very attached to each other, and I’d love to see any exploration of that. Cordelia during Lavinia’s first breakdown? Cordelia after the end of the novel, grappling with her suspicions about Lavinia’s death? And the way they’re treated by their parents, with Lavinia as the bad daughter and Cordy as the good one, has so much potential. I’d love to see Lavinia swooping down on Cordelia’s school one day and taking her out for some wild and Lavinia-esque adventure that could be fascinating, exhausting, or both. How does Lavinia try to protect her younger sister? How does she maybe cause trouble for her, however unintentionally? And it would be great to see either one of them actually interacting with their parents--an AU where Lavinia was alive and joined them all in Paris for Christmas, or where she really did go back to school? Cordelia dealing with them on her own, trying to cope with the perfect daughter image and her own ideas of rebellion?
* I love Mimi turning out to be an incredible singer and someone who had fewer illusions about Lavinia than anyone had thought, and she’s one of the few characters intact at the end of the novel. Where does she go from here? I would totally read about Mimi just setting up her career and making things work. Or what about the tumultuous, disastrous days of her close friendship with Lavinia, or the times when she was aware Lavinia was using her as a tool against Louise? And I really liked the brief Mimi/Louise friendship we got and how naturally Mimi fell into orbiting around Louise, once she no longer had Lavinia--I’d love to see anything with more of their dynamic, toxic or tentatively okay, romantic or platonic. Anything more with Mimi being a very self-aware hanger-on. What if she’d accompanied Louise at the end, or if she discovered her years later?
* Louise! Obviously, anything set post-canon with her on the run would be amazing. Does she find herself replicating old habits, falling in with the wrong people and using them and being used by them? Is she eventually a serial killer traveling across the country killing glamorous women and stepping, however temporarily, into their shoes and their lives? I really liked that her burst of violence with Lavinia wasn’t entirely uncharacteristic for her and that some of the details of her previous relationship are pretty unsettling, so I’d also just like anything that checks in with her POV throughout her life, pre-canon, as she’s living a “normal” life that is actually kind of creepy. What if some kind of Lavinia-like tangle had happened when she’d been masquerading as a prep school student?
* Lavinia understands more about her situation with Louise than she really lets on, since she knew Louise was withdrawing money from her account. How deliberate are her choices to separate Louise from all her other sources of income and hold all the strings (and house-keys) herself? How does she see their relationship? How did she see things with Mimi?
* Unsettling ghost Lavinia lingers on, haunting Louise, Mimi, Cordelia, the internet, her circle of friends… Maybe Louise wonders if she’s losing her mind when she sees a status on Lavinia’s page that she doesn’t remember putting there. And then there are the weird dreams she’s been having about sex and death… Or Cordelia keeps seeing otherworldly glimpses of her sister and that’s what drives her to frantically and doggedly check up on her?
* If you’re into alternative formatting, it would be so cool to see any of these stories--or any other story--told through fake websites/social media profiles/texts.
* Optional ship stuff! Fucked-up Lavinia/Cordelia where Lavinia wants to get lines from “Goblin Fruit” tattooed on them both and also has dark waves of guilt and Cordelia has epic amounts of loyalty kink (please no explicit sex for this one). Lavinia/Mimi or Louise/Mimi or both in sequence, with Mimi just serially attaching herself to stronger personalities and getting off on it. Extremely dubious Louise/Cordelia where Louise tries to seduce Cordy into totally overlooking everything about the strangeness of her sister’s vanishing act. Oddly healthy post-canon Cordelia/Mimi, survivors working things out and dealing with trauma; same with Mimi/Athena, with both of them genuinely liking each other and bonding while scraping by. Matter-of-fact and mutually-manipulative Louise/Athena.
Thoroughbreds: Amanda, Lily Reynolds
Sleek, thoughtful, tense, and full of crime and queer subtext: this movie is so very much my kind of thing. I love it top to bottom. Lily’s gorgeous but cavernously empty house, the class differences between Lily and Amanda and between both of them and Tim, the control of image and secrets, the focus on a polished appearance and the way Amanda completely undermines that by not showering and just not caring, the ambiguity of Lily, the ambiguity of Amanda…
I especially love the relationship between Amanda and Lily. I ship them a lot, but anything with their fucked-up combination of intimacy, manipulation, and loneliness would make me incredibly happy. I love how they have this long history together but how Amanda’s new openness about her lack of emotions makes her strange and new to Lily. I love the very real texture of their friendship and how perfectly it captures the feel of long, boring days with nothing to do. I love the weird, shifting balance of power between them and how vulnerable Amanda ultimately is to Lily. Everything about their last scene together is just incredibly perfect: Amanda willingly drinking the roofied drink so Lily can frame her for murder, Lily coming down the stairs covered in blood and smearing it on an unconscious Amanda before curling up on her lap and crying… It’s all so epic: Shakespeare and noir and teenage girls.
Prompts
* AU where they don’t try again after the first murder attempt falls through and Lily gets sent to Brookmore after all… and Amanda, as a fellow Girl With Severe Behavioral Problems, follows. Give me the two of them rooming together and developing a dysfunctional, codependent, and oddly touching relationship. Lily needing Amanda as an unchangeable bedrock to deal with all the social upheaval. Mutual protectiveness and fucked-up loyalty kink, especially if the school turns out to be a nightmare.
* Tim kills Mark, but Mark hangs around as a vengeful ghost? I’d love to see Lily and Amanda try to deal with a haunted house--it would just be so deliciously Gothic. Does Lily just start trying to find excuses to stay at Amanda’s? (Does she admit right away that she knows what’s happening, or does it become one more secret?) How would Amanda’s rigorous practicality match up against the paranormal? I’m good with this as either a slightly surreal/magical realist take or out-and-out horror.
* Ambiguous, unsettling hangouts. I love the way their conversations can drift into strangeness, whether that’s Amanda teaching Lily the technique or the two of them practicing holding their breath and Amanda having to scoop Lily up off the floor of the pool when she starts drowning, and I’d love to see anything along those lines… just dark, bittersweet moments where they cross over from the ordinary into something weird that breaks social norms. And this works ridiculously well for shipping, too. That scene in the pool! I’d love to see them having a romantic/sexual moment that just sort of sneaks up on them, and maybe having a whole relationship that they don’t talk about but that just sort of exists sometimes.
* Shippy, sexy fic about longing and possessiveness and intimacy. Lily secretly getting off a little on Amanda’s comparatively-unwashed scent, and liking that while not at all liking that she likes it. Amanda being as matter-of-fact about kink experimentation as she is about everything else. Fooling around in the pool or on expensive furniture, especially if there’s a taboo element to it (like it belonging to Mark). Wearing each other’s clothes. Clothed sex, wall sex, pool sex, Amanda’s weird tangents during sex, marking/biting/bruising. Possessiveness.
* AU where the Brookmore threat doesn’t make all the tensions come to a head, and things maybe have the chance to resolve a little more peacefully? It would be interesting to see Amanda and Lily trying to rebuild their lives with no murderous shortcuts--Lily in public school this time? Lily and Amanda dating? Amanda eventually successfully Steve Jobsing her way through life with Lily at her side?
* They kill Mark together, or Lily kills Mark but then has second thoughts about framing Amanda for it, and then the two of them have to go on the run together or cover up the murder some other way? I love tense road trips, so I would totally just read about the two of them bumming around the country trying to make it by without getting caught, sleeping in cheap hotels that Lily hates, and figuring out what to do for money. And I’d also love to see them trying to manage a different kind of story about what happened--would they try to frame someone else? Say that it was self-defense? How would the aftermath play out?
* Post-canon developments. Did Lily really throw the letter away without reading it? I’d love to see future-fic where Amanda finally comes home and the two of them reunite in some form--all the uncertainty and instability on both sides, the huge difference between their lives, etc. I’m good with either eventual tentative happiness here, bittersweetness, ambiguity, or one of them killing the other.
* Mark’s murder seems perfectly calibrated to become at least a brief media sensation, and I’d love to see any “found documents" post-canon fic made up of courtroom testimony, news reports, social media discussion, reviews of the inevitable Lifetime movie, etc., or fic that featured Amanda and/or Lily reacting to the way the case explodes and to possible speculation about the nature of their relationship.
Twin Peaks: Audrey Horne, Dale Cooper
I fell so hard for this show and for this ship. These two had scorching-hot, off-the-charts chemistry, and I love how swoonworthy and complicated their romance could be. There’s so much about them I love. It’s fascinating to me the way Audrey is almost Cooper turned inside-out, knowing and full of schemes on the surface but with a heartbreaking vulnerability and innocence underneath that, while he chooses a kind of sunny openness to the world but has seen enough horrible things that no level of evil surprises him anymore. I love the way Cooper buries himself in the metaphysical while Audrey does the same with the nitty-gritty investigative work (going undercover at One-Eyed Jack’s, spying through the knothole, turning over Bobby’s photographs to Coop). And I love the possibility for surreal, Lynchian fix-its of their respective dark fates.
They’re an OTP of mine, but if you don’t ship it, I would also be happy to see gen takes on their relationship. Anything that has them interacting closely and affectionately would be great. Of the supporting cast, I especially love Harry, Albert, Gordon, Tammy, Diane, Ben, Bobby, Shelly, Hawk, Laura, and the Log Lady.
I’m fine with a flexible approach to canon, so feel free to do any canon-divergence AUs, whether they have a specific divergence point or whether they just go off in their own direction after some designated canon development (Leland’s death, the season two finale, the death of BOB, etc.). I love supernatural explanations for Audrey’s situation in season three, but I DNW the institutionalization mentioned in The Final Dossier and would prefer not to take it as canon for Audrey or Annie.
Prompts
* Any kind of get-together fic. Tenderness in the aftermath of Audrey’s ordeal at One-Eyed Jack’s? Cooper finishes up his investigation into Laura’s death but does get that little Twin Peaks house he’d been eyeing and he and Audrey have a slow burn progression into romance when he’s there between assignments? They run into each other a few years after the original series and reconnect? (Tentatively, passionately, both?) Undercover as a couple? Return-era first time, full of melancholy regrets about wasted time and with or without weird time/reality-slippage?
* Alternate possibilities for Audrey’s claustrophobic, eerily time-stuck situation in The Return. She never woke up from her coma and is trapped in a dreamlike state, maybe in a White Room that’s somehow a cousin to the Red Room, and Cooper has to come find her? (I am admittedly always a sucker for Orpheus/Eurydice stories.) I love the idea of her being in this kind of either self-generated or other-inflicted kalidoscope of realities, so that while Cooper has to rescue her, she also has to figure out how to tell that he’s real and how to trust him to lead her where she wants to go. She’s been a tulpa created by the Doppelcooper and so her sense of self has been split for years, the tulpa part of her in an unhappy marriage to Charlie and her real self imprisoned somewhere else but catching fleeting glimpses of this other life? Seriously, anything with the otherworldliness of the White and Black Lodge and the Red Room and the creepy dislocation of Audrey’s Return plot combined with the two of them finding a way back to each other.
* Pre-Return AU where Audrey either wakes up from her coma in time to realize that there’s no way this Cooper is her Cooper or else wakes up and finds him gone and sets out to find him? I’d love to see her interacting with Dougie and trying to suss out what’s going on there or going toe-to-toe with Mr. C in her own way. If you’re including it, I’m completely open to exploring the implied rape and how she might react to that--does she try to rationalize it for a while by believing it was really Cooper and not rape? Does it help her realize that he’s not himself, but then she has dark moments of doubting herself and thinking that she’s just refusing to see that someone she cared about and idealized has hurt her? Anything that has her dealing with those feelings and has them influencing her quest to find him and solve the problem of the Two (or More) Coopers would be great. Plus, again, great Orpheus/Eurydice potential, gender-switched here, with Audrey having to find a way into the Black Lodge to retrieve Cooper.
* There are all kinds of happy things, shippy or gen, that I’d just love to see for them. Audrey’s excitement over seeing that Denise was a DEA agent was adorable, so future DEA Agent Audrey Horne and FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper working a case together? Breakfasts together over the years? (Cooper’s reaction to the reign of Starbucks?) Dancing? Mutual support--Audrey starts a business and Cooper makes sure to be one of her best customers, Audrey helps out more with Cooper’s cases, etc. X-Files-esque partnership as they investigate Blue Rose cases all over America? Fake dating or fake marriage as part of undercover work?
* Special porn likes: first time sex with virginity loss, body appreciation, tenderness, dirty talk, tie bondage, undercover assignment costume porn and clothed sex, leisurely exploration, oral, edging, dreamlike Black Lodge sex, hallucinated sex.
